I wonder if "traiditonalist" would feel comfortable with an Italian, Black, Hispanic preacher!

A friends of mine's mother is an ordanined Minister in North Central NY.

If we're to be traditionalists, like the Amish, then all unmarried men must wear beards, all men and women must keep their heads covered and men should wear dresses or should I say, robes. Jesus did! Do did Muhammad! A gown with an big opening at the bottom and probably no undies. Now, that's traditional!

I love conservatives who accept the liberal views going to the year 1950 (hey, maybe we should still keep the colored folk up in the balconies) but can't get with the new millenium.

A good traditionalist shouldn't watch PRAY TV either. That's a little to modern!

Maybe we should all get back to the dress of what they wore in Jesus time!

Otherwise we just pick and choose the liberal elements we want to embrace!

No

Bible is pretty hard on women, Genesis implies that if Adam was keeping a better eye on Eve she wouldn't have been messing with the snake and eating the apple. If Adam didn't listen to Eve, he would still be in the garden and not the subject of God's wrath.

Hence, women are inferior, deceitful, and not to be trusted nor listened to. Men's sexual preoccupation is blamed on women, not their own reproductive instincts, so many castrated themselves to show God their devotion and inability to control themselves.

It is impossible to be a good Christian and not keep women in their place.

One woman made it to heaven so far, according to catholics, and she was the mother of the God baby, who was God, and also the Holy Spirit simultaneously. In the Hail Mary chant, Mary is "blessed amongst women" but not men. She is the only exception, all they rest are evil.

Having a woman preacher would be akin to serving wine at a MADD meeting.

Some women preachers are tops-look at Kay Arther. Others are not-look at Joyce Meyers. The Apostle Paul said he did not allow a woman to teach (pastor) because it was woman who was first deceived. They did allow women Evangelist in the NT church. I think as long as they are not pastors and are qualified -its okay. If you look at the bulk of women pastors today-the vast majority are in serious doctrinal error with what they teach. If you could list all women preachers or pastors or ministers-what ever name you give them-classify them as to what they believe-and you will find most teach a very liberal theology.

In my opinion it doesn't matter if the preacher is a woman or man as long as they are preaching the word of God truthfully. God uses different people in different ways. Now a days there are even children preaching.

No, Please read 1st Timothy, Chapter 3, Verses 1 thru 7. He must be the husband of one wife. (Women can not be the husband of one wife) There is plenty more. Read the book for yourself. Don't rely on opinions of others that have never read it for themselves. Some people want to believe in the way they think instead of what God wrote in the book. He said I am the Lord, your God. I change not. So, he's not interested in what's popular. I sincerely hope I have helped.

Deuteronomy 21:11-14 I

If you see a pretty woman among the captives then just take her home and “go in unto her.”

"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as christ also is the head of the church, he himself being the savior of the body. But as the church is subject to christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything." (Ephesians 5:22-24)

"Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (1 Timothy 2:11-14)

• "Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience as also saith the law. And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church." (1 Corinthians 14:34)

Hmmm, Dr. Johnson I think.
It's like a dog standing on its hind legs and walking. The surprise isn't seeing it done so well but seeing it done at all.

In a church, the women should be respectably segregated so men will not be corrupted by their impurity.
