Well, since the Old Testament is comprised of the myths, superstitions, fairy tales and fantastical delusions of an ignorant bunch of Brobze Age fishermen and goat herders, and the New Testament is a total fabrication... what exactly is your definition of 'valid'?

It connects someone to a relationship with God without incurring His wrath. That's what we get out of it, peace with God. We might not feel that we have it, but that's just one of His promises.
As far a validity goes, I'm not sure what sense you mean with the word validity.
val·id
adj.
1. Well grounded; just: a valid objection.
2. Producing the desired results; efficacious: valid methods.
3. Having legal force; effective or binding: a valid title.
4. Logic.
1. Containing premises from which the conclusion may logically be derived: a valid argument.
2. Correctly inferred or deduced from a premise: a valid conclusion.
5. Archaic. Of sound health; robust.
Chirstianity has all these things. They are apparent only when the Holy Spirit is involved though. Otherwise it seems like gibberish.
That's one of the most basic evidences of the Christian God.
Those that are not involved with His Spirit cannot determine what the scriptures mean.

Actually Christianity is not more valid then anything else. The truth is that all religion has it's valid and non-valid points according to the people that know about that religion. For Western countries it is Christianity, for Europe Catholicism, for Middle East Muslim, for Far East Buddist. The fact is that Christianity has many doubts following it, and it takes the largest hits, cause unlike other religions there are different types of Christianity and different faiths within the church.

It works,it's the only thing I've found that does. When you get to the step where you surrender to God and ask for forgiveness for everything you've ever done and really mean it.The feeling of being free,of starting over again with a clean slate,of being loved and accepted and cherished, makes you feel like dancing in the street and telling everyone. It's the best feeling in the world.I went many years thinking I was a Christian because I went to a certain church, but when you really become a Christian, your life and your attitudes and your want tos change so dramatically that you know you couldn't have done that yourself. You are filled with joy and it's wonderful.

Hi
I can't really validate it nor can i support the Christian faith but i can give you my opinion...
I'm not really religious, I do believe in God but not in any particular religion. A month or so ago a friend of mine tried to convert me to the Christian religion, I was skeptical and i also had one very important question for him....
How can I consider converting to a religion that condemns any one who does not belong to its faith to hell, irrespective of the manner in which the person lead their lives. What if a person has lead a ''good'' life done nothing wrong but is not a Christian? HE told me they would go to hell.
Now you tell me, does that sound like Christianity is more valid than anything else???
Good Luck

Dude,
Christianity, like all man made religions, is only a shadow of the truth. Although it is derived from once great truths, those truths have all but been lost in the junk pile of man's dogmatism. Jesus came to this world, to give us a simple and elegant message. "The Kingdom of God, is within you" That's it. After the Council of Nicea, in 325 A.D, most of the original teachings of Jesus were set aside and forgotten. If we approach God as humble children, and invite Him into our hearts, He will send His Spirit into us, and bond with us. We become new creatures, part mortal, part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear fall away. Love and Wisdom, become the foundations of all our choices. We have embarked on the Path of Eternity, and we will never be the same again. If Christianity is to survive, and be relevant to our lives, we must return to the simple teaching of the Master, and dispense with the trappings of man's religions. God doesn't have any denominations or churches. He has children.

I think it's the fact that Christians are saved by faith, not works. Christians can live their life knowing, absolutely knowing, that they will go to Heaven because they have faith in Christ. This isn't the case with many other religions. Many religions are works oriented. Their followers have to pray a certain number of times a day or put in a certain amount of hours going door to door, or tithe a certain percentage of their income to the church to receive favor in God's eyes. Christians do not have these burdens. We are saved because we believe that Jesus died for our sins. It's all we need.

Nothing validates it any more than others beliefs.do for them. A sweeping statement that comes from a narrow mind.
If you have to ask us to validate it, you are contradicting yourself.
How are we to explain how something is valid to you? As compared to what? Only what you already believe.
You would do better to ask others what validates their different beliefs. Then you would truly learn something!
And, Christianity isn't the largest religion in the world, though given recent bloodshed, it is gaining daily!

Christians have this belief that if you are not christian, you are going to hell. Hog wash. Jesus did walk the earth, and time made him into a religion. He said great things, which I like and believe and follow. We should not judge our fellow humans for their culture or beliefs, which is what you imply Christianity does, and I agree.
Seems hippocratic to suggest that any religion would be the best. The best religion would embrace all religions that preach love and respect.

For me, After my mother died, my grandmother, who is a Christian raised me. I follow all the things that I was taught in Church like honoring my mother and father, praying for what I want (when I do this, I always receive what I want), being honest, forgiving others, and loving my neighbor as I would love myself. Everyone has their own path in life to follow and I say as long as you honor the Creator, show love and respect to yourself and others, It does not matter what religion you choose. My religion is Christianity because from personal experience, it has taken me a long way with love in my heart for myself and others.
