The capitalism is death, it just doesn't know it yet. The world has changed & the way things worked so far, simply doesn't do it any more. Only reson why is something unaficient as capitalizam still around is that people to whome it gives power wont give it up whitout a fight. But it is a fight they are destine to lose. The world (read nature) & "primitive" cultures are not to be concored any more, they must be preserved, 'couse if we don't ouer children will live in a steril world that doesn't have any mistic, beauty or adventure left, that is realy not a place for spirit (even the most talented one) to grow. Key word of todays economy is "POSIBLE DEVELAPMENT", not "progress" at any couse. So dear friends, sit back, relax and watch the old bastard die...

Yes, it will expand forever.

We do not live in a world of scarcity. We live in a world of abundance. 100 years ago, we had just about fished out all the whales from the ocean, and many doomsayers were predicting the end of civilization because we would run out of whale oil. Well, what happened? We switched to petroleum.

Let's say for the sake of argument that we are "running out of petroleum." When it's gone, we will switch to something else. There is solar, wind, and other sources of power. Human beings are resourceful and resiliant.

(By the way, we are NOT running out of oil. There are millions of oil deposits which haven't even been touched yet - in addition, the USA and Canada alone have enough oil to last thousands of years, but its locked up in shale, and would be expensive to extract at the moment. But it IS there.)

As for water, we will never run out of that. 75% of the earth's surface is covered by the stuff. And it all recycles anyway. You drink it, you pee it out, it goes into the ground, re-evaporates into the atmosphere, and comes back as rain (as a crude example). There is not one drop of water less on earth now than there was a thousand years ago. In fact, there is more - new water, called "juvenile water" is being created all the time, by volcanic activity and other natural forces.

Our system will expand forever. We will expand into space, mining the moon and the other planets for resources. It will be SO exciting, I'm just sorry that I can't be around forever to see it.

It would be impossible to expand forever. At some point, all the resources will be used up. Look at the war over oil already. In a few hundred years, you might see wars over water or something else as certain resources become scarcer.
