I think the only good ones you will be able to get will be from your doctor...

Have a word with him/her and see if they can advise anything.

Amphetamines and amphetamine derivatives found in many common medicines - but you don't want to go there, unless you really need this medicine for some other reason. Without doctor supervision you might do more harm to yourself that it's worth it.

Natural suppressants are:
1) coffee with a lump of sugar in the morning

2) eating proteins rather then carbohydrates - carbs increase the level of insulin in your blood, insulin rises up, which makes you feel great, but after that suddenly plummets down. You get hunger pangs, and what's worse, you want sweets.

3) Hard boiled eggs if you like them. It's hard to eat more than 3 (about 250 cal) but they will keep you stuffed for a long time. They are a source of protein, so above apply.

4) Drinking water, tea, herbal tea with no sugar.

5) Vinegar made of apples- not any other, the one made of apples. It's fool of goodies - vitamins, minerals, a natural remedy. Take two spoons for a glass of water and drink it 20 minutes before a meal. It taste horrible for some, but you can actually buy it in tablets in a health shop.

One last thing - I just read in a paper today , that they finally finished work on this wonderful pill that affect this part of brain that is responsible for appetite. I it suppose to revolutionise dieting world.

The only 'good' as in 'effective' appetite suppressants are those containing amphetamines. Duromine is one of those. Obtainable from your GP on prescription if you qualify for them. Otherwise very hard to get. Because amphetamines are uppers these appetite suppressants make you feel great, give you loads of fake energy (which really catches up with you a few days after you finish taking them) Then of course your appetite returns but with a horrendous vengeance. Thus theyre restricted cos you have to keep taking them to keep the weight off. However, as long as you are eligible for them, can afford to pay for them and have a GP who doesnt mind you becoming hopelessly addicted to them..then theyre by far the most effective.

The best appetite suppressant is a ritual water fast. Fasting is the voluntary refusal of food. Fastings is not only an effective means of weight loss but more importantly it detoxifies the body and allows it to heal itself. For women after the 2nd day of the fast ( men the third day), your body will start ketosis which is a natural fat burner and appetite suppressant. You shouldn't fast "cold turkey". You have to prepare for a fast by gradually reducing your food intake to zero over a period of days. Then start gradually with a 48-72 hour fast. You may feel tired and have a headache initially, but it's because your body is beginning to repair itself. Fasting for a short period of time will not cause starvation or harm your metabolism. Starvation harms your metabolism and will not occur until about the 75th day of the fast.

One of the best appetite suppressants available is Hoodia Gordonii.

Hoodia was featured on Oprah, and it's effects studied by Pfizer, the pharmaceutical company.

It works great! The problem is, 90% of the hoodia on the market is fake, or mixed with ingredients that make it non-effective.

Read, "Beware-Fake Hoodia is Everywhere" on the below site. The report lists some of the hoodia tested and results. I have tried the Lipodrene and it works! I have a bottle of the hoodia they recommended, but haven't opened it yet.

You don’t need to exercise for hours on end. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results in case you work hard. Get a skipping rope, skip for two min's, do push ups for about a minute, skip for two minutes, rest for starters minute. Then change the push around something else like sit ups as well as do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a simple, effective workout that will get better results than a long manage or swim.

I wouldn't use Zyban, I used it to stop smoking also and it made me hungry.... like freaky not-normal hungry. Anyway theres a million over the counter products that all work okay. Pretty much any stimulant like caffiene or that hydroxycut crap. If you REALLY want this to work you're gonna have to go the extra mile and get something like cocaine or meth. Thats not exactly legal, but hey if somethings worth doing, its worth doing it against the law!
Seriously, don't actually do that. Unless you want to.

Feiyan Tea
Obtainable from Chinese herbalists.
I was given a packet, as it is based on green tea.
I thought it was ordinary tea, and drank it as such - it was only later I discovered it was a "slimming" tea.
After I had drunk it I lost interest in food, (unusually for me) so it seems to work as an appetite supressant.
