If a guy (acquitance) sit next to me during a dinner function with other colleagues (10 person in a table, mostly guys), keep taking foods to my plate, does it mean anything? he just took food to my plate and is more than he take for himself. Other colleague did try to bring us together last time. he used to my office for work things and just have casual chat. We didn;t talk much that day. He did asked me 'how's my day, my job stuff.' But it was a boring event (some performance going on) as we didn;t talk much. Later on, when he left he didn;t say good bye to me, almost complete ignore me while say goodbye to other colleagues.. why is this so? is he interest or being courteous for his action only? if he is interested, why he ignore me all of sudden at the end of event? i am confused..

He's interested in, but he might be shy to show it.

you sound interested yourself. but i wouldnt' hold your breath. especially with someone you work with. don't go there sister. not a good idea. keep your profession professional. don't get into dating someone from work. will lead to no good. no matter what his actions are. he's not interested though. other wise you would be getting the attention. just cuase he gave you a bit of extra food and used your office. if he liked you you wouldn't have to guess. you would know. he's being somewhat courteous, but mostly rude i think. not talking, ignoring. he would have more to say then 2 words if he was interested, and would probably be almost flirty. do you even know if he's married? cause he's got no ring, doesn't mean he's not married. move on, find someone outside of the office. there are plenty of men around.

It is possible that he is interested, If you like him then ask him if he wants to go out. If not just be a friend and maybe he will come around eventually. It is OK in my opinion for a lady to ask a guy out in this day and time. Good luck.

he may not want to come on too strong so he backed off at the end of the evening because he didn't think you were interested.

he may be dropping by your office to see you because you look particularly good that day or he just wanted to see you.
sounds like you need to make a move if you want to go out with him...

his taking advantage, his showing a Friend or colleague, that he can make you run after him, if he was really interested, he will never ignore you or make you feel that way. my advice is, ignore him for about a week & see his reactions. you'll know what to do from there. enjoy !

Had any conversation taken place during this food and plate business? Perhaps something was said offhand to offend, or not enough was said and this offended him.

i think he likes you!! he is happy to talk to you in a large group, but when he is in a position where he is expected to talk to you he gets too embaresed!! Give him some room, and if he seems relaxed try and start a convo about somting that he likes!!!!

Maybe he is shy and is waiting for you to say something to him and make a move.
