I have recently found out that my man's ex gf and I share the same name. Before we began dating, he told me everything about her and he still sometimes mentiones her (she is already married) Do you think he is over her??? they too, nearly got married. How do i know if he likes me for me or bcos i am a reminder of the past he could've had???

It may depend on how long he has had to get over her.
They say after a divorce, we need to wait 2 years between
relationships, but if she was his first, and I realize they weren't married, but the first one will always be special--no matter how long, but you may want to be sure he is not re-bounding with you and you are not feeling that you need to fill "her shoes" for him.

She is Gone.
SHE chose someone else.
Do the right thing for you, listen to your heart
and if in doubt, don't.

Well I am thinking he may have some feelings still about the ex but what they are you can't be entirely sure unless you talk to him. I would suggest you sit him down and tell him exactly what you said in this question and tell him how it makes you feel. Hopefully he respects the fact that you came to him with an open mind. It sounds like you care about him and hopefully you two can get through it.....Good Luck!

well if steal talks about her all the time then i say he not over her and want be for and long time . best to let him get over it before you get hart. i know this couse i hart someone i was dateing buy going back to my x bf. and i am wish i hadent hurt him ao badly.i feel so bad he was such and good guy now i am think about him everyday. the one i went back to i am married to now have 1 kid and one on the way. he has and bad drinking problem and it sucks but i steal stay couse i love him. that other guy is married and going to have his first child i am happy he moved on but plp told me it took him 2 years to do so.

The past is the past you need to move on and think of your future with him. You need to let him know that maybe its not a good idea to speak to you about her as much obviously he is with you

To be honest I am dealing with the same thing and I ask myself the same ?'s. So being the woman I am I ask him the same ?'s and have him to look me right in my eyes and if he dosent answers you or dosent want to talk about it then you will know!!!
