I can't stand even loud music that I used to like! I feel like loud noises actually cause me pain. I thought I was strange. Man, thank you for asking this question! You don't know how relieved I am to hear other people talk about this. I don't go out to clubs anymore or anything! No television or radio because I can't stand all the NOISE. You have really helped me.

Yes. I can often hear a whisper from another room I am that sensitive. I am more sensitive to high pitched noises rather than loud. High pitched tones like a girl squealing just makes me plug my ears and try to run. The thumping of a bass cannon really bothers my ears too. I like drums and bass just as much as the next person, but that is when the volume takes control of my ability to cope.

I'm not noise sensitive so much as i am crowd-phobic. I just hate crowds and try as best as i can to avoid going to places with a lot of people. I feel so annoyed whenever i'm surrounded by large amounts of people, just scurrying from one place to another, bumping into you and not caring to apologise.
ARGH!

Yes, I am. I had many years of noise in a workplace, and yelling in relationships. Now, I get nervous if the television is too loud. I hate noise and prefer silence, or just my music and the sound of my fingers hitting the keyboard.

Yes! Also, sometimes people lose their hearing a bit as they age - you don't have to be that old for it to start to happen. Sometimes I can't hear well in a crowd. Also, the noise just makes me nervous and stressed out.
There's a reason they call it "PEACE and quiet!"

To me it is more of a people snsitive than noise. Like I am picking upon all of these other peoples negative energy and don't want it. Funny, I was just discussing this with someone.

Not really...I guess it would depend on my mood and whether I had a headache or not. When I have migraines I am...(but knock on wood..it is not that frequent anymore). I also think I can tune a lot of it out, since my occupation is noisey...lol especially on rainy days...
