well I had a "chase" at 15 miles per hour for 4 blocks, which was classified as a "pursuit" high speed car chase is not really a term used.

In many places any chase is considered just that,
In some places they don 't allow high speed, normally considered over 10 miles over speed limit, or any chase where the car being chased is driving at a dangerouis speed.

a 35 mile per hour chase, in a residental area, or a area with heavy traffic or though a school zone could all be considered reckless driving and thus a high speed.

Anything over the speed limit, no matter what the speed limit is, because a speed limit is determine by the are in which it is imposed. For instance, if you're in a residential park, and the speed limit is only 15 mph, going twenty mph is considered high speed for that area.

in the starting up, F1 automobiles aren't from now on street-criminal. it might want to be attainable to have a motor vehicle chase, and do not forget that the motor vehicle gained't conflict through any harm no matter if it truly is determined up proper and it has an expert driver in the back of the wheel. I recommend, F1 races on the streets of Monaco! an entire tank gained't get you too some distance, however it might want to be sufficient for 100 and fifty-2 hundred km, it fairly is in case your engine would not cry "sufficient" earlier that, and after some seconds self-destructing with a ton of smoke pouring out of the decrease back. Plus the tires positioned on out especially right now, graining and blistering are significant subject matters which reason lack of grip or perhaps tires exploding. yet you may want to nonetheless go at 235mph once you've the motor vehicle set up for minimum downforce and minimum drag, like for Monza or the old Hockenheim.

I agree with T-Time. That is a good question. I have been in L.E. for well over 30 years and never thought about it, but my answer would be the same as T-Time gave. For the same reasons she gave. Any thing OVER the speed limit.

Massive man also gave a good answer.
