Many reasons, some already listed but to the best of my knowledge the dye is conducive to vaginal infections and women are the ones that usually purchase toilet paper also the dye does tend to run and the color will dye what ever it touches. If you look in C.I. Direct you will find that Red 28 will cause in some cases decrease in m & f reproduction it is a carcenagin to the urinry tract and many other reasons.

red dye, is the most expensive and takes several processes to insure a product that has been dyed ,doesnt leech or run when wet. you can only imagine what ones face would look like after blowing a snotty nose or wiping tears from your eyes. if you like colors they have tp in yellow.green, blue and patterned designs but using the patterned design would make you an artsy fartsy fellow....avg cost of a single roll of red t.p. would run around $2.85 .sincerely yours Mr. Handy Crapper

There is a company in Europe that has started producing and selling BLACK toilet paper.
Apparently it is selling like crazy!!!!!
People like to use it as a style extra in the toilet, for oneself or especially when they have invited guests.

If the dye should come off and there was red or red in the toilet, they do not wish to alarm you than you be having rectal bleeding

It is either simply the colour it is ends up being after production or has additives to make it white as that is what we expect paper to be.

WHy would it be red?
its coloured or white because they beach it that way and add colouring. If you had it red lots of people would be going to the quacs thinking they were ill!!

If it was red and you pooped blood you wouldn't be able to see it, also if the dye in it happened to run you would think you had rectal cancer which of course would freak you out.

u r question shud have been why toilet papers are only white in color...neways they come in white as to coz white is for purity and its clean as it is and maybe coz its shows the dirt more...yukkz..!!!! u want pink toilet papers to wipe ur dirty **** uh.!!! lol..!! Wierdo!!!

If it is red we wouldn't be able to see when we bleed.. And why would any company want to waste money printing it red when it's used to wipe our bottoms?

think its made to match the colour of peoples bathrooms and maybe there aint that many red ones
