The Bible never said the forbidden fruit was an apple. It just said Eve took a piece of fruit off a tree and ate from it. Adam was punished for what Eve did because he was directly told from Jehovah God himself the command to not eat from just one tree. He could eat from all the rest. This command then was related to Eve from Adam. Therefore, Adam was held responsible because he was Eve's head. Adam could have either said no, I will not eat from it, or he could have said to beg forgiveness for disobeying Jehovah, but no, he said to Jehovah, It's this woman you gave me. Check the Genesis account for that. It's true, he put the blame on Eve. That's why God condemned Adam to be put out of the garden. He should have been a MAN instead of blaming her.

Adam, and Eve were nothing more than a fairy tale.. To fool the general public to do the right thing. So the government could control the masses. Especially when it came to money..
The truth of the matter is this.. Men are looking for the best looking women.. If she's a beauty queen. He'll treat her right.. If she's so, so looking he'll screw her and look around for something better.. Man will murder, rob, and lie to get what he wants. Men are selfish.. Self centered. So don't go blaming everything on the female.. I know she can be one step beyond a *****.. It's all about who is the best looking, and who has the most money.. SHALLOW...THE WORLD IS THAT WAY! So get all the money you can. to keep yourself out of a state funded rest home when the time comes.. So if Donald Trump was a regular guy he sure couldn't get beautiful women.. I bet he looks a ugly women with disgust.. Like they can help how they were born. I hate men. No not all men, just 80% of them. Well back to the question... The story is a way to explain more of the fairy tale, We've sinned, and come short of the glory of GOD. So now we have to die.. What were they smoking ?

you are not from around here, are you?
there is a link on the page where you type your question, it is called "check spelling". if you use it properly, it may help. but you also have to know how to spell to be able to use it properly. many on here don't, can't, don't care, won't, or maybe just not from an english speaking country.....God not Go.
Adam knew that the fruit was from the forbidden tree.He was standing there the whole time the serpent deceived Eve. He did not step up to his responsibility to toss the serpent out. Adam and Eve brought on the punishment for disobedience.

Adam should have known better but the temptation of what I suppose was the only and most Beautiful woman of all eternity, was, a little more than he could handle. Eve was tricked, she sweet talked Adam, he took that fateful bite knowing full well he wasn't supposed to, so, he had to suffer the end results.

No where in scripture is it describing an "Apple"...re-read it. The tree and its fruit are symbolic and you will understand that this particular "fruit" of knowledge was probably pretty unique. In any case, Adam need to take responsibility for his own actions. You see, it was not the disobediance that led to the fall of man..but actually the laying of blame for what we do outside ourselves. We hide in our shame but when we are caught..rather than fess up we lay it all off on something else...For Eve..she used the old standby.."the devil made me do it". For Adam he blamed this woman when he could have refused and even went as far as to suggest that God Himself had something to do with it.."this woman YOU made me..." Its selfish and self seeking to lay blame elsewhere...yet we all do it. And that is why when Christ calls us we are told to lay bare our sins before Him, freeing us from the shame incurred by our choices...and as well, we are told to confess those sins with a repentant heart. If Adam and Eve had loved and trusted God enough, if at all, to go to Him and do this very thing that Christ calls us to do...they would have been forgiven and all would ahve been set to right. Do you see what I'm getting at? I hope so...because God loves us...He didn't punish Adam so much as allow the natural consequences of the actions of disobediance to occur rather than restore them to blissful ignorance. Humans want to know don't we? We hunger and crave those things which are against God..yet when we see the resulting harshness and evil of our choices we then wish we didn't know. God says that to enter His Kingdom we must be as little children..I believe that. In choosing Christ you are essentially saying..."Your plan is better, I trust you, I don't want to know about any of this anymore..." When Christ carried that cross for us..He made all things new...so that when all on this earth is said and done and anyone and everyone who will accept Christ has done so...we will be restored to Him once and for all. I hope you have recieved Christ. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

wouldn't you think it wasn't the act of eating the apple, rather what Adam and Eve were aware of[knowledge] that was the reason God 'punished' Adam, removing him and Eve from the garden? I think they knew too much after eating from the tree of knowledge to live in the garden.

No one ever said it was an apple.
He was standing right beside her when she took the fruit, the Bible is clear that he also ate the fruit. He was supposed to be the "head" of the family.
And when, in the cool of the day, God called to them, they hid.
Next, Adam, the man, blamed it on everyone, including God, for eating the fruit.
HE cursed both Adam and Eve, Jesus however; came to redeem us from the curse, men and women equally.
Everyone always thinks the Bible puts women down, it does not.
The Bible wants everyone- man, woman, white, black, to be equal and free.

Adam knew full well where that fruit came from... and he knew that Eve had already partaken of it...and he knew that he had been commanded many things that he could not fulfill without Eve... so he chose to also partake of the fruit.. to remain with Eve....
and God knew this.
