It is now day 4 of my wisdom teeth removal recovery time, and I have a few more questions. To all those who have answered my queston already, thank you. But, I do have more.

1) Is it normal for swelling to still be persistent on the left side of my face? It is just as big as yesterday. I admit, I did not do the warm compresses as much as the cold, so maybe if I do that all day today it will go down. What do you think?

2) Am I in the clear for dry sockets now?

3) I have to go back to work Tuesday, and I work somewhere where I'll be in close contact with customers. How do I get rid of this breath? Plain brushing? When can I floss again?

4) What does the healing tissue in the "hole" look like? Is it dark? The reason I ask is because when I woke up this morning, I felt a small piece of stuff on my tongue (and, sorry for being graphic) it was smelly and whitish/clear. Was it the clot? I don't think so. I think it was justa piece of food that got stuck up there.
Again, thanks!!

I just got mine out a week ago, so I'll answer you according to my experience thus far. 1) Yes, that's normal. I was puffy for days afterwards. I didn't even do the warm compresses, but that should help. 2) I don't know. I'm still worried myself cuz I don't know. If you smoke, it's ok to smoke by now, though, so maybe we're ok. 3) I don't know when you can floss again, but your breath should be better by then, maybe not winterfresh, but I think the donkey breath will be gone. Plus by then, it will be way easier to brush better. 4) I think you're right. That's food. lol
