I couldn't agree more.
I guess that's what competition does for you as well as a booming population that seems designed for a behavior jungle dwellers would be proud of.
I also truly believe that we are also born into a society in which we have been geared to either distrust or outright fear people. Heaven forbid we actually worked and/or co-operated together. Just listen or watch the news... pedophiles, kidnappers, priests, people of different races, of different sexual orientation, of a different religion, schemers, frauds... it's almost like we are supposed to select our nemesis of choice the way America picks their American Idol every season.
It seems also people just feel they need to be meaner to succeed today: they need to yell, be obnoxious just to gain somebody's attention, whereas parents aren't much help in that regard either. People can be playing video games for hours on end killing villains and not think twice about it. There's a violent subculture we have bred that also contributes to our meanness in general.
It is sad indeed. I am almost forty and, yes, maybe I am getting old, maybe I have changed whereas kids are still the same, although I doubt it.

Absolutely! But I think there's a very good reason for this:
Remember how there was a HUGE increase in demonic activity around and after Jesus' birth? How many people do we read of in the NT who were possessed or influenced by demons, as opposed to the OT? This is because Satan tried to kill Jesus as a newborn; when he couldn't do that, he tried to demonize as many people as he could so they wouldn't hear Jesus' message. We know that didn't work, either!
Few believers dispute we are living in the last moments prior to the Rapture. Knowing this, Satan has undoubtedly launched an all-out, last minute effort to prevent people from believing and to divert our attention away from God.
Peace and love in Jesus.

no i understand what your saying. eventhough i am not forty. but i wouldn't say the world is getting more evil. i will just say people these days are just kinda losing their niceness and the good in themselves. for alot of selffish reasons...and stuff. but the niceness and good some people lose isn't actually lost they can always get it back. it is just that they lost it with in themselves. And i can't change no one else i can only change me and change my perspective one how i see the world and the things that happen in it. Same for everyone else to they can't change the world. but they can always change they understand it. to make it a some what a better place to live.

I am 38 y.o. and I miss the ole days. It was great when people were so close, and cared about their neighbors children. Kids weren't so judgemental. We all played together irregardless of how you looked or what you were wearing. It was a great era. Of course, we didn't have computers, vcrs, and all the super technological advances we have today. But we survived, on just good ole fashioned fun. Sorry, I'm ramblin'.....

Yeah, I wouldn't want to have children these days. But we can't stop living. I think a lot of the problem is the "entertainment news." We know about every little negative around the globe 24/7. You just can't get away from it. Keep your head up. Set an example for the rest of us. Thanks!

Yes, times are getting worse because these are the last days. It says in the bible that times will be getting worse near the last days so you can only expect things to keep getting worse and worse.

Yes, people are too selfish to care about anyone else these days. And it has nothing to do with them not having religion.
