Rabies shots are required before they give them anything else I hear, so what would be the final cost for 2 cats to be fixed up? Does anyone know, thanx...

It depends on where you live as some parts of the country charge A LOT more than others. I live in NH (where things tend to run cheap) and to have my two cats initially checked out, it cost about $100-$120.

Your cats are going to need rabies and distemper shots plus a dewormer and a physical exam. They generally won't give you just the dewormer, so the exam is what is going to cost you.

Here's the thing: vets generally only treat for ROUND worm. TAPE worms are less common and require a different pill: two doses 30 days apart should take care of it. Are you sure your cat has tape worm or could it be round? Round worms look like spaghetti and will show up in the cat poo. Tape worms look like little pieces of rice and tend to stick around the fur on your kitty's behind. Be sure to describe the worm to your vet so that you get the right meds.

Also-- tape worms come from eating infected fleas, so you should frontline your cats as well. The initial fix-up is going to cost you, but it's worth it. You'll find that your cats will gain weight, have more energy and in general, just be a lot healthier. Good luck! :)

did you comprehend she has tapeworms? more effective possibly she has roundworms. you'll get drugs for roundworms on the puppy shop, yet make confident it truly is positive for a kitten. i don't think of they have drugs for tapeworms. Roundworms seem as if noodles, and are extremely trouble-free in kittens and domestic dogs if the mummy wasn't dealt with to avert them. Tapeworm segments seem as if shifting grains of rice on the rear end of the cat. i don't think of she might want to have significant tapeworms so youthful. The chilly might want to be only a cold besides; cats get little colds like human beings do. yet when she is fairly unwell, take her to the vet. In case it truly is a few thing more effective severe, keep her far flung from different cats.

Don't know total cost, but getting everything a kitten needs is around $75 including the office visit. If your kitten has worms you better get there quick. Worms can kill your kitty in a couple of days. It happen to me.

You shouldn't care about the cost...your cats will end up being healthy, and that's all that matters.
