Your friend's statement is a common misconception started by antisemitics and believed by many who don't know any better. The Middle East has had relatively few years of peace throughout its history.

Ask yourself how the Muslim Arabs came to be in possession of the Holy Land. The answer is through war and conquest. Before that Christians and Jews lived in peace in the Holy Land. In the seventh century, some guy named Mohammad decides that he's the leader of a new religion which is very militant and advocates jihad against Christians and Jews. Oh, and conveniently claims to be the rightful inhabitants of the Holy Land. Given a few centuries to build their might, they took control of Israel. Several attempts by Christian kings in Europe failed or only partially succeeded to regain control. This is the true story of the crusades. The crusades - the anti-Christian's favorite bone to pick with Christianity - was actually caused by militant Muslim Arabs.

That's the kind of peace there will be if Israel were to disappear.

The middle east has been plagued with war and violence for thousands of years both with Israel in existance and without it. Your friends information is highly innacurate. A willing integration into the world community on a peaceful basis is what it will take for any mid east nation to get on the road to peace. As long as Muslim fanatics exist, who beleive terrorism and violence achieves personal power, then there will be no peace in the mideast and world security is threatened. Its not Israel that is responsible for 9/11 or any of the other horrendous acts that occur almost daily around the world. It is muslim terrorists committing acts of atrocity in the name of religion and politics. Time to call a spade a spade. If the muslim world is not willing to police and control such activity we should not be surprised that the US, Israel, or any other nation decides to take action against them. The alternative is to live in a world where murderers and power hungry fanatics rule through terror.

What about Africa, durfer where they took over and divied up the country between war lords and continued the fighting
There has never been a time of peace in the middle east.
Iraq just got out of a 12 year war with Russia
Had nothing to do with Isreal.
Isreal keeps a low profile and trys to stay away from them while they consistantly have sucide bombers in there country killing people. Just like they did in England on the subway.
Isreal wasn't there? Or what about 9/11 Isreal had nothing to do with that.
Read your history book. Iran was fighting with Afganistan and Afganistan was fighting with Russia
What centurey was there no fighting? They faught worse when Isreal was gone then ever before.

Your friend is simply completly ignorant and clearly has a negative prejudice against Israel.
First of all he should read a bit of history before making bold, and completly fictional statements such as, 'the Middle East has lived in total peace for centuries'. Israel has been occupied over the millenia by the Romans, Turks, Crusaders, Mongols, and the Ottomans. Each has its own legacy of violence and wars, as the land is very desired.

Your friends ideas are based on total fiction. He is living in a world of his own. And he should open his eyes and mind before spewing rubbish like that evrywhere.

Hi...

I`m sorry before if my answers is not fit u.

Even now that the Israel and America seems in the top position in this earth,

BOTH OF THEM WILL BE TOTALLY DESTROYED ( n_n )

Noooo... I`m not lie. This is true and fact. We could wait in about 20 more years

How could I know ???

I`m one of the philosopher and after I read all of holy-book of mine and the others ( Sorry to secret it) I took a conclusion that the Israel and America condition nowadays is in the way according to the GOD plan. They are 'good' today, but we look how pathentic they are next 20 years. So that what we could do now is LIVING IN PEACE.

Iran, Iraq and Pakistan built bombs to blow up america and the US, they are helping to destroy the Jews, they used to wage war on Russia, so no, leave Israel alone. They may make wrong choices but so did George Bush and Tony Blair. ALL countries have a right to be here, some just abuse that right to hurt others

there has not been total peace in the middle east from biblical times onward...israel need not disappear...ALL parties, nations, sects, and groups in the middle east need to simply sit down and start realizing that, like it or not, they're regional neighbors and have to start respecting each others right to exist...of course, i'm somewhat of a dreamer...

As long as PLO, Hezbollah, Hamas, Syria, and Iran have contracted together to wipe Israel off the map, he might be right. However God has said that He has established Israel forever and the bible says He will enforce that personnally

I disagree they have to disappear but they do have to be made to behave by the rest of the world. If the US would quit interferring with UN disapproval toward Israel, it'd be a start.
