There's much debate over what privileges and rights should be given and acknowledged respectively for illegal immigrants. What I would like to know is what you know of the current legal process for immigrants, and if you think it is fair, and why. Please remember that I am not asking about proposed legislation.

Pardon; Is you country's immigration process fair.

Sorry, really not feeling too well, so my grammar's probably more mangled than usual.

Worth considering is both the morality of the present laws as well as their administration.

gokart121, no, and it's perplexing that you would ask that, though I'm glad you did. I ask all to please keep in mind that my question pertains mostly to would be immigrants, not to illegals and how they are treated after the fact of their violation of the law. .

My country, USA, is more than fair. It actually gives more to the illegal than they do to our own poor and middle class people that struggle for medical care and education.

The US Has An Immigration Guideline In Place
Which, If Enforced,
Is Fair To A Diversity Of People
From A Diversity Of Nations

The US Has Some Of The Most Fair
Immigration Policies In The World
IF Those Policies Are Observed

3 Million People Arrive ILLEGALLY
From Nations South Of The US ANNUALLY
With A MAJORITY (70 Percent) From Mexico
Disproportionately
Tipping The Scales Of Diversity

The Rules Of Diversity Are Being Ignored

How Fair Is It To The Potential Immigrants
From Other Nations
That Are Obeying The Laws
And Honesty Seeking American Citizenship

20 Million ILLEGAL Aliens
Have Rudely Shoved Them Aside

Would It Be Fair To Them
If We Allowed Someone Else
To Jump The Fence

Skip The Medical Requirement
Fuggettabout Learnin Vocational English
Aquire Fraudulent Documents
Exploit Taxpayer Funded Services
And Then DEMAND Amnesty
While Waving The Flag Of Another Nation

Would It Be Fair To OURSELVES
To Ignore The Laws
And Look The Other Way
While 20 Million People
Are Daring You To Enforce

How Fair Can We Be
When Our Fairness Is Being Used Against Us
By Liars And Cheaters
That FLAUNT Their Lawlessness
In Our Faces
And Deface Our Flag
And Threaten Our Citizens

As A Nation
We Need To Send The Clear Message
That Our Laws WILL BE OBEYED

WE THE PEOPLE Obey The Laws Of The USA
And ILLEGAL Aliens Are Not
They Wont
Because OUR Laws Are Not Their Laws
This Is Not Their Nation

They Choose Another Nations Flag
Another Nations Language
And Another Nations Laws

But They Are Demanding To Live In THIS Nation

What Kind Of Message
Does That Send To The World
How Should ALL The Other Potential Immigrants
Read That Message

Is It Fair To US TAXPAYERS
For 20 Million ILLEGAL Aliens
To DEMAND Squatters Rights
In Our Backyards
Send Their Kids To Our Schools
And Have More Babies In Our Hospitals
While Pledging Their Allegience
To Another Nations Flag

These People Are DEMANDING
That US Citizens Accept Large Colonies
Of Foreign Nationals In Their Midst

And Pick Up The Tab For The Damage

I Dont Know.....
Does What Ive Described
Sound Fair To You??

Yes, it is fair. Could it improve? No doubt. I hope it will because we have to adapt with the times, the changes in conditions and global community's growth.

I am in favour of a policy which enables honest, law-abiding citizens of different states to immigrate and begin the process of becoming citizens. However, I also think there should be some reciprocity. Is it equally easy for an American to go to Mexico and get a job, a work visa? Right now there are laws which make this very difficult.

I reiterate, we must ease the application process, while at the same time improving identification and tracking processes to ensure domestic safety and tranquility. If we succeed in this, we will reduce the pressures that tempt many to cross illegally. Some will still no doubt try. That is why we are erecting fences and establishing better Border Patrol.

My country, the United Kingdom's, being widely seen as a "soft-touch" on immigration (legal and illegal) has it's immigration policy setup by the Kakistocracy of Labour government i.e. it's just as good as George W. Bush's policy, frankly speaking & if I may be brutally honest here.

i imagine ALL immigration should be stopped for about 5 years. Get the border fence outfitted, positioned the money interior the ICE, the U. S. Border Patrol, and sparkling up any misunderstandings, THEN we commence talking about resuming immigration. What we've were given now should be 'bums rush' immigration coverage, and it desires to resign.

for illegal immigrants? How about 'zero'. That's the whole problem here, people trying to worm their way around the official process. I'm not saying the official way is flawless, but there've been people trying to get into the US since what, 1975, are you advocating that anyone be allowed to just walk around the gate, as it were? Before they naturalize one more mexican into the united states, they need to clear out ALL that backlog. Mexico needs to support its' own people, and we need our border fence built. Sorry!

I think our process is fair... Its just not effective! We have a large # of people here that haven't gone thru the proper channels... Now our government acts like they don't know what to do!

Please don't classify me with all the people out there that hate our Latin American neighbors, because I'm not like that! I will welcome anyone... ANYONE who comes here legally... If they don't go thru the correct process to be here legally, then I think they should be sent back.... no matter where they are from!

I DON'T THINK THE US IS VERY FAIR AT ALL. I MEAN COME ON,HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO WHEN IMMIGRANTS WERE COMING HERE TO FIND A BETTER HOME, THAT AT THE TIME BELONGED TO THE NATIVE AMERICANS,THEY TOOK IT OVER AND SENT ALL THE TRUE OWNERS OF THIS PIECE OF **** TO LIVE ON RESERVATIONS. AND THEN THE BASTARDS HAVE THE NERVE TO DECIDE WHO CAN AND CAN NOT LIVE HERE AND WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO BE ABLE TO STAY. THAT'S LIKE SELLING SOMETHING THAT YOU GOT FOR FREE. ITS GREEDY AND PATHETIC!
