people claim there god is the only god ,but how many of you have really met god to know their god is the one ,most people have knowlege of the lord through scripture only which isnt first hand and full of inconsistencies, yet people argue they are right.truth can only be aquired through intuition, direct cognition only. how do you know that your god is the one true god other than information from scripture,(this is possible because the lord has been worshipped long before the dawn of modern religions)

You have to come to know him for yourself. It is necessary to have a personal relationship wiht God he and only he can reveal himself to yu although he does use his word and he word will reveal the truth if you seek understanding it only comes from him.

Have you ever thought of the meaning of the word God?
God is not a name, it is a title. The North American natives refer to him as the creator. Each religion may know a part of him, or some of his characteristics.
When we look at scripture, we see how some people came to know more about God.
The trouble with intuition is that there is nothing to check it against. It is like measuring something without a measuring stick. Certainly we can learn some of His characteristics by contemplating nature, Just as you can describe a building without using any measurements. But, would you trust someone to build you a house if they had never seen one - just from a short description without measurements? It is possible that the foundation would not be very solid.
Even reading the scriptures, we still need additional help from God to truly understand what it says.

I don't know Odin all that well, mainly because Im not ready to really trust Him. I think I understand Thor fairly well. I have a deeper understanding of my Lady Holde, but I still cannot exactly emulate how She does things. I would say that I know my gods pretty well.
