Im planing to do a working holiday in december, but I study outside my country, do I have to go back home to apply for a Visa or can i do it at the local embassy?

Im going to the US by the way.

-Yes i will be permited to work, Im taking the student work visa J-1 i think ur allowed to work 3 month and travel 1 month.

NO NEED, as long as your citizenship is still from your home country.

No need to go home; you may apply for a visa at the local embassy - take proof of your school enrollment in the event they want to see evidence of your current status in the country in which you are applying.

That said, are you certain that you will be permitted to work on your holiday?

No you do not have to. You are still a citizen of our home country. It is just like returning from a lond trip!

NO, you don't have to.
ok, you did not mention where do you intend to work, your home country or where you are now..
well, you could ask your school supervisor or immigration if you are allowed to work and what is your limitation..
