When we talk about death, we are in most cases talking about death of the flesh. Death of the flesh means there is no more life in the body. What ever was there is not there making it work anymore. So where does that energy go? The bible says that to be absent from the flesh is to be home with God. so something, leaves the body and goes elsewhere, presumably to God. Now we understand what the physical death means, or at least we have an explanation that makes sense to me. Next we are with the Father. That indicates that we still exist, so we are not the flesh, but we are a spirit that has a soul and lives in a body. The soul and the spirit moves on. From here it is clear in scripture that the TRUE meaning of death is to be absent or seperated from God. So, to be with God is life and to be away from God is death. So do we die when we leave our bodies, no. We simply go to another demention. We are as alive there as we are here, providing when we left here we were with God. If we do not have God when we leave, we are dead already because we are seperate fom God. So we can be walking around here dead, if we are not connected to the Force, (GOD). Unless we become alive before we leave here, we still exist, but we are still dead because we are disconnected from the source and will NEVER have the opportunity to connect again. We will be around forever, but we will be seperate from God forever too. That sounds worse then death to me. The true answer is that the death we think of as leaving our bodies is not us dying, it is IT, (BODY) dying.

The most accurate I can be about death after reading both scripture and apocryphal literature, there really is no death. Death as in inconsciousness, non existence, etc. In all indications, and statements, Ihave been persuaded to believe that the spirit that man has is eternal. That the spirit that makes up a part of what a man is tireless and does not pass away.

From this life, for humans, is the beginning. When you 'die' you are awake in a spirit form, without a fleshly body. This seems to be true for both the saved and the unsaved.

There is a so-called second death. This is only for those who are unsaved.
Revelation 2:11, Revelation 20:6, Revelation 20:14, Revelation 21:8.

Death is an old an treasured friend who has walked beside you since the time of your birth. He has spoken to you countless times in the little flashes of intuition that has prevented you from being harmed or harming another. He is there with you watching over you until it is time to pass on to the next stage. Then he guides you to where you must go, so you do not get lost along the way. Never fear death, he is there to aid and comfort you in your journey called life.

The end of life in a body on this earth as we know it. Once we leave this body and plane, only God, or whoever, knows the answer to that. Well, and those that have already died, of course. The body ceases to function and, depending on what you believe, your soul or spirit travels elsewhere. If you believe in ghosts, some souls or spirits stay on earth out of body while others bail this plane and find something better. Again, it depends on what you believe and what your faith is. From a scientific point of view, your body no longer functions-you expire and that is the end of it. Good question!!

The true self is immortal, the body is used much like you use a car to travel, you use your body to experience what ever you are destined to do, our expiration date is set before we enter the game, once that hits we die in a pre determined fashion. This is just a highly sophisticated version of a video game that humans play, but are played by immortal energy beings.

You're familiar with sleep?
Well, death is a lack of consciousness, just like sleep; you're only aware of sleep when you wake up and it's my belief (though of course others' beliefs will vary) that when you die, your consciousness leaves your body and is drawn to a new host.

Nothing to worry about, just don't get cremated.

death is a separation between you and GOD
its a complicated answer. If you die and your not a christain then you will go to hell and that is called death.
But if you die and you are a christian than you are basically just moving in hell though your living in pain and eternal fire.
