No, not if you need to shower twice a day.
But, it is a ridiculous waste of water if you take ridiculously long showers. Some peoples' single showers are longer than two showers taken by another person. It's not the number of showers, but the length of the showers and the amount of water used in each shower.
If you are concerned, and I am glad you are concerned about conserving water, then I suggest a low flow shower head. Available at many hardware stores (Home Depot, Lowes, etc). depending on the model, these use only a portion of what a typical shower head uses. They are not complicated to install and the cost is made up within a couple of months on your water bill.

If you stay in there super long, beyond the time it takes to get clean, and you're just standing there not scrubbing, then yes, it's a waste of water. If you're already clean, then it's a waste of water. If you're sweaty, especially if you stink, especially if you live in a hot climate, then no, it's not a waste at all.
Now, if you have sore muscles and need a hot shower to bathe but also to loosen up the muscles and stretch with hot water hitting the muscles, it's not a waste. Sometimes if I don't stretch after exercise, I get SO SORE. Then I take a hot shower and let the hot water hit the muscles while stretching. It's like hydro-therapy at home, so this is not a waste.

You are so right. I couldn't agree with you more.
Water is the most primary thing. It's of supreme importance for life.
Why do these fools WASTE it with their stupid double showers? Are they really that dirty that they need to shower twice a day?
Of course not! It's their minds that are dirty and they have that mental problem where they have to keep taking showers over and over to feel good about themselves. Meanwhile all our beautiful water is going down their drains!
Stop taking two showers a day, people!
It's. Just. Not. Necesssary.
Thanks for asking this wonderful question. It was much needed and long overdue.

I think it's a waste too. Once is plenty. Too much water can actually damage your skin. I usually shower once every day or two. The only time I've ever taken 2 showers is if I forget I'm doing some particularly dirty work later in the day and take a shower in the morning.

Absolutely not a waste of water, you can shower as many times as you want to. Now if we could only encourage the people that shower less than once per day to increase their showering and/or bathing. The world would be a better place! Have a great...clean and refreshed...day!

Unless you get really, really dirty, then yes, I think it's a waste. For example: You get up and shower in the morning. A few hours later, you go out and mow the lawn in 90 degree heat for 3 hours. It would probably be pretty nasty to go to bed that night all sweaty, covered in grass clippings, etc. If you shower in the morning and do nothing strenuous during the day, one shower should be enough.

If you shower in the morning, then again in the evening before going out your doing what most would do. A shower uses very little water unless you stay in there until you run out of hot water.

It depends on the circumstances. It is usually good sanitation to shower upon waking, to wash off the former day's perspiration, etc, and be clean and fresh. However, if you then get filthy by noon (cleaning out the garage, for instance), then you probably will want to shower again before resuming the rest of your daily activities.

Sometimes I take three showers a day!
Its not a waste of water if you take a really quick shower whenever needed!
I have to take one before going to work, after and sometimes before gym, and one before going to bed whenever i need to!
