Ever since the beginning of time, human kind has had the need to dominate and one way to do so psychologically is to use religion. If they couldn't keep others in line, they then would use it to kill those who rebelled against it.

While thankfully, religion isn't the domineering force it once was, there are many who are still trying to use it. Islamic governments are raised on religious principles, and our present administration has been using religion to undo what our forefathers had started. Thankfully, we don't have to pay a price with our lives when we tell them how full of s*** they are.

The heart is deceitful and deperately wicked.

We can justify anything that we do. If religion is a convenient excuse, we will use that. This could be for killing, or simply trying to get our own way.

We are told in the Bible that there will be a time when Jesus rules on this Earth (before Heaven is finally experienced) Even then people will try to disobey Him and try to overthrow His government.

Even in court, the Bible tells us, one person's testimony sounds really great, at least until the other witnesses have a chance to speak.

almost all cultures have been doing it for thousands of year. The catholic church did it during the crusades. Spain did it when they came to the new world, and during the Inquisition, and of course you have the Arab world who has been doing it since the age of Christ. I honestly think it is the lack of education of the people. If you get a religious leader back then to whom they were the teachers, then that is all you would know. When they did this type of stuff, they said it was a higher calling or an order from the man upstairs to have followed through. People today like in Iraq continue to do horrid deeds in the name of religion, because they don't have schools, but have people in their villages called Imams who are basically like a priest or pastor but with alot more pull. they could be a good one or a bad one depending on their beliefs. If they are bad, then they push their beliefs about the world onto their followers. Good ones want theirs followers to be good i guess, cause i have never met a good, just the bad ones?? So basically it is like any other problem in the world, like racism. If you are taught your whole life to hate people, then you will hate unless you are taught otherwise. They world is screwed up and it will never change.

It can be used to justify unacceptable actions. 'I did it for God' was why women and children were tortured and executed in painful ways during the Inquisition. 'I did it for God' was why the Native peoples of Mexico and South America were slaughtered and mistreated. You never hear someone says that they killed in the name of Buddha, do you? Or Vishnu? (except in reprisal). Or Amaratsu? Or Odin? (these days). Some religions are inherantly evil and are geared towards global conquest, not spiritual development. They are the ones that make converting others a top priority and condemn non-believers as the Great Satan or Hell-bound.

Salvation for u my friends...

Only the crazy and the super-cooky person that are using their GOD`s name to kill somebody else. Don`t they realise that every human (even in the different religion) are all the GOD`s creature ???

Why they are killing each other ???
No matter what, that is done because they want to acct as if they are innocent and have no guilty due to their cruel things.

So, PLEASE do not provoke by the men who done something bad by the name of GOD. PLEASE DO NOT provoke by the situation here now in middle-east. And PLEASE DO NOT afraid of any religion name. Like Islam , or even Christian.

DO NOT see from the religion side, but see from their way of thingking.

Ok???

May world in peace.
-Best Regards-

I don't know because it isn't a good excuse at all. i guess they say that because no one has proof to tell if it is a "God" thing or a religious act that they felt led to do. No one can prove their thinking wrong if they say they felt led by God to do it.. but it is still just an unsufficient excuse to get out of things. i would think most religions dislike murder.

Religion is not an excuse, both Christian and Muslim books encourage hate and murder of others. Yet in media we hear that its excuse, its premeditated and encouraged murder.
