Just be glad you have the time to spend doing what YOU want to do for a change! That helps me when my mother takes my son away from us for vacation. It helps us to plan for things that we can't do with our son. Like going to the winery or going to see a non-animated movie!! We see it as "us" time, and bonding time with grams and gramps for our son, so it doesn't bother us at all.

My boys left this summer for amonth with their dad, driving across country. At first I didnt know how I was going to cope with them being away sooo long and it would make me cry. Well, they called me every 2 hours I swear! Keeping in close contact made it a lot easier and the time has flown by. I practically felt as if I went with them! Stay in touch.

Stay in contact, often, through mail and phone. They need to know that you care, and you need to know how they are doing and if they're well.
