I bought my laptop and installed windows XP media center. then i found that there is only C: drive. when I asked about it some people told me about this program.
i installed alot of programs and games and downloaded alot of files and i really don't want to loos it.
In other words: Should i format my computer before i do the partition???

No,, if u want to keep everything,, do not format,, Partition magic can create your partition without formatting ,, and all your files and programs will be the same

Actually partiotionmagic is meant for splitting the HDD into multiple partitions without losing the data. It is commonly used in the above mentioned case, when laptops or branded PCs are bought (they come with OS installed and the entire HDD as a single partition). If its not then what is the speciality of it?

Go for the new version which can operate in NTFS partitions.
