The ability to do what you want, as long as you are not harming anyone else,

The degree of freedom is exactly the same as the degree of tolerance. The two go hand in hand.

Those are my own words, and I'm pretty proud of them.

For the last five and a half years, I haven't exactly felt like any of us have had an excess of freedom. The right was hammering the left far worse for all but about the last year. Now the left is catching up really fast, but we seem to have far more conscience and empathy/sympathy and it's not nearly as much fun for us to kick someone while they're down. And the right is so far down they'll be lucky to ever climb up to the bottom again.

I miss freedom. More than anything. That and liberty. There's still the PURSUIT of happiness, but good luck... might as well be looking for passenger pigeons. Or woolly mammoths.

God, I miss the "U" in USA. We'll have to change it to a "D" for Divided, I guess...

Freedom is alot of things. The right to worship how you want, to speak what you want, unless you make a threat to a president, then you do not have the right to freely speak. There alot of freedoms that we have in this country that others in other countries do not have. The right to kill our unborn children and call it choice. It depends on your definition of freedom. There are alot of fredoms that we are losing, or they come with a high cost. I am glad I have the freedom to worship God without our government threatening to behead me or burn my house down. Little by little the actions ofa few are losing us our freedoms, like the freedom of speech. We never know when our phone calls might be tapped and so we need to be careful what we say. I just want to be able to raise my children according to the Bible without the intervention of CPS. I am not a bad mom I want good behavior so I do not end with juvenile delinquents. Oh yes and lets not forget that people have the right to turn you in for chid abuse for trying to keep your kids in line with dicsipline. And then you have to prove yourself innnocent. I always thought that we are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. Is that true, not really. So what is freedom that is a good question.

Sorry don't know as I have never had but only one freedom in my life and that was to work like a slave for meeger wages. Thats why I just blow my mind when people come here from other countries seeking freedom and they find its just as bad here as where they came from.

freedom. and liberty. hahh. something that teenagers always want and never seem to get enough of because of people called adults.

on a more serious note. being able to do anything you want without (physical/emotional) constrains.

a highly idealistic term. is there such a thing as absolute freedom? i think not. I dont think its good, anyway, even if its attainable.

The right and ability to be completely responsible for your own actions.

(Which is why most people are not free; they don't want to accept responsibility.)

A nice sounding word.

There are other nice sounding words I hear every day. They are equally inspiring.

I'm thinking of words like Liberty and Democracy.

Did you ever hear of this word:

Capitalism.

Why don't we hear this word every day?
