yes, I have 1 dog and 1 cat, and everytime my dog has to pass the cat, she won't no matter how much she wants to. the cat would just be sitting there by the stairs and my dog would be following me upstairs but the second she sees the cat back downstairs and into my room she goes, she won't go anywhere near the dog, and I find that a bit twisted because it's supposed to be the cat scared of the dog, but in this family it's the dog scared of the cat!

Yes, in my household the cats have always ruled. I have 5 rather big dogs, but they know the cats rule and always will. They've never attempted to hurt a cat, but when the cats come around the dogs always disappear. I don't know that they are really scared they just know that cats are number one.

One of my puppies is scared of my cats- but he asked for it. He chased one of them one day and got into a huge fight that he lost. The other ones love each other. One cat I adopted from animal services is pretty sure he is a dog- fetches, plays with squeaky toys, sleeps on the dog bed. I got my Ragdoll around the same time I got my Dane- they are best friends. The dane used to carry the ragdoll around in her mouth- scared me the first time! Now the dane is surrogate mother to all of my foster kittens that I bring home from work.

Not at all. All three of my yellow labs like to sniff the cat when he walks by. The cat and the momma lab will actually take turns cleaning each other's ears. Often all four of them will sleep lined up in a row.

Yes! He did come along after them but he's a big wuss. If he's on the couch, the bed, anywhere and one of them touches him, even just trying to smooch him, he gets up and runs away! He's a sausage dog and the cats are both quite scrawny sometimes grumpy old maids

no but if urs is then there is nothing wrong with it or may be it can be that it really isnt scared of the cat but finds it strange or interesting n thus behaves strangely n u think that he is scared n size really doesnt matter coz my daschund has the most fighting kind of nature in all my dogs.
