Kapil! Kriti in Engllish means creation, that should give you the answer but if you want it in detail - here we go -
anything which is created as a piece of art is called Kriti, for eg. if a painting is made by a painter, its his kriti, if a song is written by a writer, its his kriti. Kriti is derived from the word Karta - means creator or one who does the work in order to make anything (Kriti). So Kriti is the creation of the Karta.
You must know the word Akriti which means the dimensions of the particular thing or person including features etc... and Prakriti or Prikriti which means nature, again its the form of Kriti by GOD, ie anything which GOD has created without much help of any man (LOL - crops can be catagoriesd in a different section - LOL). Sanskriti is again a word made by kriti which means Sabhyata -hope u know that - means way of living, rituals, customes, festivals...etc.... for particular group of people in a particular (wide though) piece of land for hundred and hundred of years.....thats also one of the creations of GOD. Anukriti can be defined as duplicate and not difficult to understand. Prakriti is also said to be behaviour of a person but again is linked with kriti (creation) ie he is created like that and he in normal conditions can not help it.
In nutshell Kriti means creation.
