I lived in Lincoln for 15years before moving to the coast, its ok as a city, some many pros and some cons, uphill is quaint and olde wolrde, downhill mainly shops and retail, not much industry anymore, has become a university and commuter city.
Plenty of tourists visit every year, My son and daughter still live there and I visit every month and have seen many changes over the last 30 yrs.

Robin Hood and his Merry men/women (?) were said to wear Lincoln Green but Sherwood Forest would be about 25 miles away. I like Lincoln too - lots of interesting sites and loads of history - if you like that sort of thing.
