I am talking about periods when there is no rain at all and hot sunshine (say around 35 C / 90 F during the day. How much water in millimetres?

The previous answers have been useless. I asked for information in millimeteres and I havn't been given a a sensibe answer. 1 mm of water is 1 litre per square metre. With one of the answers the world would be a desert with others it does NOT depend on the size of the golf course.

Call your local golf course and speak with the Greens Superintendent--he/she should be able to break it down for you....area of watering needed/geographically, etc.
