Just go to a professional. You cant beat proper work! He will do it perfectly and also treat it with some of his shampoo and conditioning formulated to improve hair condition. Just get it done properly.

simple just do the same way i do
take a shopper or a plastic bag wear it on both of ur hands (if u dont want to have henna color on ur hands)
mix the henna. i usually use solid henna and then add some water to it. its color is better then the ready made henna
anyways then just apply it to ur hair straight down
then the remaining hair which can be ponytailed apply it on them and then combine both of the hair.
its a little difficult to explain here. ......... the end has to be that u have to combine the hair on ur hear all of them!!!!

but most importanlty dont wash ur hair with a shampoo, i did and i had a side effect. use a soap any soap will do.
