Hmm your point is one of pure metaphysic interest.
First spirits are made up of an element just found out yesterday in the physics lab of the university of Siberia by Dr. Imanov Gandupov.
The material is called Chindeeyanin Gegrazontolum.
The properties include antigravitational qualities,
can copy and store upto 36 Zega bytes of information from the body and brain, (There is a total of only .23 zegabytes of info contained in the entire tribe of Texans cumalatively in seven generations)
Can pierce walls made of stones, lead, etc etc, But cannot penetrate glass.
Can have anything pass thru it and its density is calculated at ZIGMA 3! MUES.
in effect the material contained in a spirit also has the capability of decrypting and reproducing information at the Baud speed of
37 million Giga hertz/per second/persecond

ill try explain it as i was taught ,
our body has an ethereal body that is the double of this physical one , this includes all the bits and pieces we have just now , and that includes the organs , so yes you would have a brain
and in spirit we are just as physical in that life as we are in this life
yet without the pain etc that comes with being physical
if you think about the aura , that is the energy field that surrounds your body right now and in that energy field is held every detail about you , yours past, present, hopes, dreams, desires, and even illnesses... your auric body is what is left when you pass , the glove that fits over the hand so to speak
so whatever way you look at these two the ethereal or auric ( i feel they are the same but different words ) then yes the brain or more importantly the memories do live on after death

When you die you will most likely cross over very fast...non believer's take a little longer to cross over....At first you remember nothing of this world because your are being reoriented to your home...there will be a welcome home party for you...not only are the people you love are there but also all the people that love you...no we do not take are physical brains or body but we always have our ethral brains and body...Once oriented then you review what you did and experienced and learned on earth...kind of like an exit interview. Then you decide what you want to do next...some like to be guides to those still on earth....some come back to earth and some just do what they love at their true home.
I remember this because I have died many times. I can't explain how I remember, I just do.

If you take the analogy of hardware and software, wouldn't you say that it is the software that creates and the hardware that just stores and executes? We have somehow managed to create computers in our image, let's just hope they never become aware. So what happens to a computer that finally crashes? Some of its programs end up elsewhere. For people this means that we pass our knowledge and memories on to others, friends, family and the likes. They are the ones who remember us, not in every detail but that is what remains of us. A lot of non Christian faiths honor their ancestors for exactly those reasons.
If it is of importance for you and I to remember the things we have done and experienced, there probably is a self-executing and self-programming patch hard wired in our souls. Though keep in mind that all of our thoughts and memories are biased, i.e. infested with virus-like programs. Death is more likely a total liberation, free of body and probably free of thought too. And a merger into the vast energy pool. To connect this back to the computer analogy, there is a third component, the electricity that makes it all possible. Any computer program simply modifies/biases the pure electricity, with help of course from the hardware.
So when you die a lot of you remains, both in tangible and intangible form. And chances are that your individuated self merges again with the big untainted totality of all. That way you might have much more than your own colored memories to ponder about throughout eternity.
Methinks!

A fair question ... one without an answer, I'm afraid. Many different assertions have been made over the years as to the nature of the afterlife in Christian theology. Some have said the body will be reformed in Heaven from the same matter that formed it on Earth ... that opened up a huge debate on the results of cannibalism.
Nobody knows ... and anyone who says they do, they're full of "it".

Your brain is the bit that tells the other parts of the body how to function, the conscious part of you, that recognises you as you is your soul, it is your soul (you) that comes out of the body, trust me you will remember everything and know exactly that you are not in your body.
So if you do find yourself outside of your body - shout for Jesus!!!

You dont have to remember anything, because everything you did was recorded by ardent observers (angels) who recorded each and everything for you. Then if you were Good, believed in Monotheism, never associated any partners with GOD, never gave HIM any image and worshipped HIM as HE commanded; you will get salvation as paradise.

You don't. When you're dead you're dead. Of course, this has serious implications for society, as believing there is nothing more gives us the option of doing exactly as we like on Earth as long as we don't get caught and sanctioned by other humans, with no further consequence. This is why religion continues its fight to keep a hold on humanity.

Have you ever grown flowers? or raised pets that die before humans? Like cat and dogs, or roses or even bugs, we die, and if you had offspring, they carry on your genes, so you kind of still live, but like flowers and bugs, we just die, and we have our time in life, then it's our offsprings time after that. If we were happy, we lived in heaven, if we were not happy, we lived in hell. It's that simple, yet so hard to understand for humans. Ron
