One of the most important things for us as human beings, at least in keeping our mental health in the positive, is the respect of others and appreciation for what we're good at.
When a job doesn't give you either of those to the extent that it can fill the necessary holes in your psyche, it's time to reevaluate what brought you to that job in the first place, and look for another.
You're likely old enough and been working long enough now that you know what you're really good at - what makes others appreciate and respect you for your contribution.
Take the time to look around and find a position or career that would challenge those abilities in you. This would result not only in the appreciation and respect of others, but also would elevate how you feel about yourself, and it'll go a long ways to repairing the depression you're finding yourself stuck in right now.

Thers a lot of things you can do to get you back on track, but chances are you'll just go back to how you were.
You havent said if your work is studying or if it is like a job, so people cant be like "quit your job and find something that keeps you awake" which is probably what i'd say. If its studying maybe what you're studying isnt for you, maybe you just need to make a resolove to say i'm only going to sleep from this time to this time, and eat at these times, and stick to it, but dont go finding other things to do now that you have the extra time.
To me it just seems like you dont really wanna be doing what you're doing if you can be fine (yet empty) loafing around. Choose what you want to do with your life then stick with it, checking along the way whether you still want to do it.
Also sleeping alot can easily mean you're depressed. Look into it.

Sometimes the way you're feeling right now isn't the result of the job. Try to find out what about the job can help you get back on track and focus on it. Set goals and go for it. If there really isn't anything in the job to make you feel motivated, maybe you need a break or a new job...

These symptoms are the classic textbook definition of depression.
Sometimes you need help with depression. You might need to take anti-depression medicine and/or talk to a therapist before you can get over it. It is good that you recognize that there is a problem.
I would recommend that you begin taking a potent multivitamin immediately, then call and make a doctors appointment. If you can force yourself, a good brisk walk twice daily will also work wonders.
Sometimes when we have too much to do, we get overwhelmed and respond by doing nothing. Which of course makes our work grow even larger. Everything will only get worse unless you take steps.
Please do this before you start gaining weight, which will only depress you more.

*waving hand frantically* ohhh pick me pick me, I know.... same boat as you.....
First realize that you have limited time and only 1 shot so make it a good one... don't let others attitudes decide how you will feel each day... Realize that you don't know what is happening in someone's life at any given time; so, treat people how you want to be treated not how they treat you. Everyone deserves respect until they give you a reason not to respect them. Laugh at jokes but if someone isn't laughing then its not a joke.
And last, learn that no matter how much you achieve and acquire in life if you work yourself to death who is going to be the one to enjoy all the "great stuff" you acquired? Certainly not you, you worked yourself into an early grave.

Hi: Not fun. You are showing three classic symptoms of depression. Sometimes people don't eat or can't sleep which are also signs of more than the "blahs." I suggest you see your
family doctor, Some prescription meds. assist in leveling depressed persons out and can be helpful. Good luck,,,no fun at all. Ken

change job/career. it clearly isn't working for you. no amount of convincing will do if you do not like what you are doing. get out of it. try something that interests you. that should be motivation enough.
