I HOPE THAT EVERYONE WHO HAS A HEALTH PROBLEM READS THIS!

First, seeking medical advice from whomever happens to select your question is like asking the neighbor's dog what to do.

Second, if a condition is persistent, no matter what the symptom, you should consult a physician (as others have already suggested).

Third, your physician is like a detective in a murder case, she or he starts with careful observation and gradually proceeds to the point of eliminating suspects. Your primary care physician will not start with a preliminary diagnosis, rather she or he will start by eliminating possibilities.

In order to properly prescribe ANYTHING for you, there are many questions that need to be answered.

Where, on your body, is the affected surface?
Is it in an area where "skin touches skin?"
Are there any open sores on the affected area?
Is it in an area that might come in contact with a new fabric? Like new clothing.
Have you been in the woods or anywhere else where you might have had contact with a poisonous plant? (Like poison ivy, poison oak, etc)
Do you have a sexually transmitted disease?
Is there a history of this kind of ailment in your family?
And so on. Get the idea?

Some of the medications that you've tried could complicate the basic problem, although my GUESS is that you haven't done too much damage at this point.

Until you can get to see your doctor, try taking a 10 to 20 minute bath in warm (not hot or cold) water with Epsom Salts. Pat, don't rub, dry. Then, apply a light coating of a topical cream, like Gold Bond Anti-Itch Cream (or some other brand that contains menthol and pramoxine hydrochloride).

Repeat in a couple of hours.

Do not take any oral medication. (Of course, if you've been taking a prescription, you should continue it. However, if it is a NEW prescription, your condition may have been caused by the medicine.)

You probably don't need to run down to an emergency room.

However, if your condition includes fever, vomiting, painful or unusual urination, call your doctor or his service immediately.

Just some advice, don't take nyquil and benadryl together because if it's the night time nyquil, it already contains benadryl and you will only end up with a double dose. Like others have said, you need to be seen in the ER if it's an allergic reaction because they can get worse very quickly. Much worse. Take 50 mg of benadryl again and get yoursef seen in the ER.

Try pouring peroxide on the infected area, use the entire bottle, wipe the area clean, then use a gauze pad, or clean cloth, apply Vasoline Aloe lotion. That should do the trick, always worked for me. Hope this helps.
