Like all Korean family names, it is only one syllable, and its pronunciation is similar to the English word "suck", except the vowel sound is a bit more rounded.

Say the English word "suck" with your lips rounded in a circle while you pronounce the "u", and you will have it pretty good.

I'm not sure, sorry, but Seoul is spelled similarly and pronounced "sole" so maybe like "soak"?
