I believe a small ingrown hair has caused a little bump right next to my nipple, now it's dark red and brownish, it also hurts if I try to pick at it. What do I do to get rid of it?

Leave it alone (don't pick it) and put some antiseptic on it (I suggest calendulae cream). If that doesn't help, see a doctor.

you might want to go see your doc......i saw a documentery about cancers.....there is a cancer that widely goes unnoticed by women that has the same symptoms that you just explained. and also, an ingrown hair wont turn red AND brown, it will only turn red, swell, and hurt. does this spot get crusty/ flakey like skin on it? does it ooze any liquid or bleed? how long have you had it? Please go to doc........and good luck!!!

Hm, I'll have to make a close, personal examination of that.
