I had to read this question of yours several times before responding. Just a question, huh? I see..First of all, any one who says women must like it to put up with it..women are dumb who put up with it..or a person says, I WOULD NEVER LET A MAN HIT ME OR DO ME LIKE THAT!!! Never say never honies! And until you have walked a mile in MY shoes..do NOT judge me. Yes, I may have made some bad choices..but that does NOT make me a bad person.
I still havent figured out the assine part of your question wanting to know if it is only illegal in our minds?..You cant be serious..If you are..girl, you must have done one hit too many of those drugs!
Abuse is abuse is abuse...There are no gray areas..there are no excuses for anyone abusing anyone...period..Take it from a woman who was married to an abuser for a little less than 3 months. I had never even been slapped in my face my entire life..THAT was the first incident..The next 9 weeks went to hell in a hand basket..Ending with me in a hospital with facial fractures, lacerated kidneys from being kicked..and I cant begein to tell you how many black and dark blue bruises. Thank God..I made it out alive...IF I HAD stayed..where do you think I would be right now? Just a question I guess..Just a suggestion..educate yourself..and your children...your friends..The abuse has to stop..I was lucky in the sense my ex was sentenced to the pen..Being a rather good looking guy...I can only smile...bet hes got a cute litte dude ..lol..at least i can hope.

Abusive men are sick people who just want to prove their power over their spouses. I think they need to be advised and may be some need rehabilitation...
It is illegal.. not only in the minds of the abused partners... but also in the laws of the states/countries. Physical, psychological, mental abuse, can be used as grounds for a divorce/annulment. Just needs some proof.. medical certificates, photos, videos to substantiate the case.

domestic abuse is illegal in all states not just in people's minds. Abusers come in both genders, sizes, occupations, and whatever other category you can think of.

Anyone (man or woman) who abuses anyone else should have the same thing done back to them, but twice as badly. Every time they repeat the offense, the punishment should increase exponentially.

its disgusting if a guy does that to someone who isnt willing to be subjected to the abuse now what i mean by willing is that they actualy ask the guy to do it bec they like it thats called uer crazy or uer masochist. iTS WRONG OTHERWISE AND ILLEGAL IF UER IN AN UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP GET OUT AS FAST AS U CAN GET A SAFE PLACE TO BE LIKE A WOMENS SHELTER FIND ONE IN UER AREA PLEASE DONT BE ASHAMED TO GET HELP! it hurts more not too.
