i get this lymph node behind my left ear, it changes size. like sometimes its 1 cm and othertimes its almost completely gone. its seems like when i mess with it it gets bigger. my skin itches around that area, not sure if its related. just now i was messing with it and trying to feel how big it was and then i looked in the mirror and it was like big (3/4 cm) and red. but this has happened before and prob by tomorrow morning it will be smaller and less noticable. this thing comes and goes over long periods of time. i get scared its cancer, but if it is okay whatever. has anyone experianced this? i dont have any other swollen nodes or symptoms except the itchy scalp, and i had a really bad impacted wisdom tooth about 2 months ago that caused all the nodes in my neck to swell up, but those have gone down now

you could either still have an infection from your tooth, or another infection causing it. it actually could be a number of things. could be a sign of hyperthyroidism, cell deformity, cysts....etc.....
i get lumps like that all the time, i found one on my breast and had it biopsied, came back as being a very rare cell deformity. i have those lumps everywhere....under chin, behind ear, armpit, breast, beside spine.......my best advice...get a second opinion...any good doctor wont just look at you and walk away, a good doc will look at it and find out what it is and explain everything about it, whether its good or bad..oh, and quit messing with it.....that is what makes it get bigger, you are aggrevating it and causing it to swell.

Cancerous lymph nodes will never decrease in size. it may remain static or increase in size so it is probably not cancer.Lymph nodes behind the ear are mostly enlarged in scalp infections or even when you are infested with head lice. To rule out cancer you can go in for a fine needle aspiration which is a nearly painless procedure. Ask your doc for it.

A swollen lymph node can be a viral infection in your throat...have you had a sore throat lately? Or a very Bad Cold? I would keep going to the doctor if this bothered me...dont let that doctor make you feel like you dont know what youre talking about...Better yet...CHANGE DOCTORS

Im not doctor but lymph nodes that swell are usually signs of an infection somewhere near the swelling node. Maybe you should see another doctor who specializes in cancer or an endocrinologist.

Finally! You're the first person I've met that most likely is suffering from a Salivary Gland Blockage..you have three (3) glands on you face, neck and jaw. SEE YOUR DOCTOR PLEASE. It's not serious, but the pain is pretty severe. Take anti-biotics, and you'll be fine.

Go to another Doctor, dont ask medical question like that on here, you would have to be a fool to get advice from here for things like that. Use your brain.
