The Earth is round (or spherical), not flat like a plate (or like a box). However, we still exercise the right to believe what we want about the Earth. This is an example of free will. Oddly enough, though--you have something in common with Jesus. He couldn't stand the religious status quo of his day, either.(Why else would the High Priests want to kill him??)
Of course, in order to accept the statement that Science will prove the fallacy of religion eventually would mean that people would swallow everything, hook line and sinker about that.

You are right. We must never accept blind-faith. We have to be logical and scientific. But who actually created 'Science' & 'Logic'.
GOD of course.
But then why does the Bible say the earth is flat???
The answer is simple, this is a mistake in the Bible. But since Bible is a word of GOD, how can GOD make a scientific error???
Therefore, the correct logic is that GOD didnt make any error, instead as time passed by, the Bible got corrupted by mean people who made infinite changes to it and therefore we have lots of errors.
So the solution?? Get to the Book of GOD that has been protected from modifications and is 100% compatible with Science & Logic.
Which book? Its the Quran, which has been the same, word by word, letter by letter and is 100% compatible with established Scientific facts.
Dont agree with me, check the presentations in this site

Watch this video from this site.

Remember a Book from GOD Almighty cant have a 0.00001% ERROR. Watch them and judge yourselves!!!

okay there are pictures from satallites that show that the earth is not flat. so thereby the earth is round it has been proven which makes it a fact not a theory.
and no i dont believe in god because there is no proof to his/it's existance. i have had hour long discussions with people who have argued this topic with me.
god didnt make the earth. the earth formed from space dust gathering together with carbon dioxide gas which made an asteroid which while spinning and orbiting the sun caused it to become round. then there were single celled organisms such as amobas (which are asexual by the way) and they formed and created bacteria and mold along with other such things and then other plants started to form eventually, which to make a long story short caused oxygen, the cells and plant life expanded eventually bigger lifeforms were born and we DID evolve from apes.

The bible says the Earth hangs in nothingness
The bible says the Earth is a circle
The bible mentions the water cycle.
The bible has knowledge of quarantine and hygenic practices.
WOW, a 2000-3500 year old book knew so much way before scientists, so tell me what took you "scientists know best" people so long to catch up? You only knew in the last couple of hundred years what the Bible has taught for thousands of years.

And, so the earth is flat from the position i'm sitting. yet although if i assumed it truly replaced into flat, what huge difference ought to that probable make to you? ok, the earth developed as celestial body, I agree, and so? Now what occurs? Am I enlightened? Will this roundness of the earth, a minimum of, my understanding it to be, make my existence somewhat extra ideal? looks to me the purely ingredient it is nevertheless flat are those who imagine that this expertise by some ability makes them smart. that is ineffective expertise to my daily existence, yet thanks for helping me to make certain the mild.

I don't like people who say that science is better than God. I believe in God but if Earth was flat then we would have pictures of a flat Earth not a round Earth.

Science tries to discover the way the world is as best it can. Truth is somewhat more slippery in philosophical terms. Religions are concocted by man to complement the gods they invent - which sadly goes to prove that when it comes to a contest between reality and psychology, psychology usually triumphs.

The day will come when all will be known as we evolve towards perfection. Attempting to convince people of one thing or the other is of no consequence. We all must have tolerance for one another's beliefs, there is no point in telling others that they are incorrect.
As long as people live a good moral life, there is no need to intervene.

I do believe in God---but not that the earth is flat. I believe in God, not because of what someone told me, or because of "fairy tales." I believe in God because He proved to me that He is real. Period. End of Story.
Do you know 100% that the earth is not flat???Or that it looks the way we see in pictures? Most of what we believe today is what other people "feed" us so truly, we could all be fooled into believing all sorts of things that may not be true.
