Honey, I'm 25 hours plane ride away from my boyfriend and soulmate Tony whom I love with my all. He's half way around the world from me, exactly 12 hours behind my time. No distance is too far. Just be prepared for the hard times and a lot of communication and effort if you want the relationship to work. If you both make it last, then it's meant to be - if you don't, so be it. Good luck on your decision.

From personal experience to myself and my housemates when we moved away from home in to uni halls, for the first term, we kept going back and forth at weekend's to see our boyfriends.

Frustrations started to creep in - I'd travel for 2 1/2hrs Friday night, get there knackered and before you know it, Sunday, packing my bag to come back again.

Maybe you need to do this to find out how strong this relationship could be - this might be the one after all !!?

Yup!

It's far enough away so that during the week you don't have any idea what he's doing or who he's knockin' boots with when you aren't there and I wouldn't ride 2 1/2 hours on a train for ANY man....he'd be coming to ME!

if it was, there'd be no such thing as relationships across different countries, let alone continents. people have managed to make it work between england and argentina, so don't let a 2.5 hour train ride scare you off! it's emotional closeness that matters, geography is secondary. good luck!

Just think of the time you will have at the end of the train journey. If you fall in love with each other it will work. But take it in turns to make that journey. or sometimes you could meet halfway .

Well staying overnight helps I wouldn't want to going home earlier because of the train.
I don't see a problem but i'd share the journey like one week maybe its you travelling and then its him the following week or someone will get annoyed they are doing the trip.

It just means you have to decide early on if it is worth it or not which can put pressure on a relationship. I dated a guy who was a 3 hour train journey away....he is now my hubby ;)

No, it's not like he lives across the country. Just make sure that it's equal. Sometimes you can agree to meet at a place that's inbetween you to. At times you visit him, and sometimes he visits you. Because if one is doing all the traveling all the time, it could cause a problem.

No. That is not too far away to have a relationship. There is the telephone and the distance is driveable as well.

Nope, love conquers all, even a 2.5 hour train ride. LOL! :)
