I'm half black and spanish so I have in between hair. It's been long my entire life but it's hard to manage. And now that I'm going off to college I think I should cut it. The only thing, is that I have emotional attachments to it. And also I'm told that when I go outside or sweat it will frizz and turn into a mini fro. But I hate the way my hair looks half the time but I'm afraid that it just might end up worse if I cut it. Will it really be that bad?

Just get a trim.
I WOULD NOT CUT IT SHORT talk about poof, you would start cring afterwards.

Citrus shine serum would work wonders for your hair. I told a girl friend about it (at the time I was using it when I straighten my hair but she just applied it and let dry for cute little ringlets. Now she loves me forever. With out she was living with a frizzy fro do, that she often put one of those Rastafarian type caps on, but now she's proud of her hair and how great it can look and now that she's not messing with it all the time it's grown.

I don't know how long your hair is now. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair too and so does my mom and sister. I keep my hair a couple inches past my shoulders so I can easily pull it up when I don't have time to straighten it or if the weather is humid and bad for my hair. If you cut it too short then you'll be forced to straighten it or put products in it and it may look like a clown. Keep it long enough to pull back because in college there are days you don't want to worry about fixing your hair.

Do you know the actress Angela Bassett? She's also a black lady but heck her hair in "Waiting to Exhale" was fantastic- (after she had her hair cut off) Maybe you should go to a salon or a parlor and get a hair-do that's easy to maintain even if its short it won't explode into an afro.

it will be worse when you cut it. it will stick up, so why no try antifrizz for curly hair, or sleek and shine from fructis. try that and see how u go. if it turns out bad then go to a proper hairdresser and tell her your problem and ask her to fix it. good luck with your hair.
