I believe they may have poor self-esteem, or are uneducated. Most people who are rude or nasty to others are making up for these things, or can have bipolar disorder, depression, or may be grieving over something/someone, and this can make them bitter or unhappy people.

Before anyone lashes out at my statement, I am not being rude or nasty myself. Merely trying to give a logical, helpful, tolerant answer. :)

'do the people on here who get their kicks out of abusing others think they are funny or are they just nasty?
cue lots of childish abuse....

I would say they are not thinking just typing random thoughts and some are nasty because you are just a paper doll to them. not a real person. The riff raff will eventually weed itself out or be weeded out by the nicer folks who take the time to make the few clicks to report it. then the offensive post is deleted and points forfeit

I would say there are a few people here who post frightful stuff but that is what reporting abuse is all about. Allot of people don't bother with it but it doesn't take long at all just a few clicks and you're done.
Add to that the satisfaction of cleaning things up around here.
Did you know that as the poster of the question you have the power to delete answers and report as abusive. when you do this the answer is pulled and the poster looses the 2 points he was given. So for those who think it's too much hassle...its not it's the only way to improve the quality of the Q's and As

Without wanting to sound nasty: WELCOME TO THE WORLD!!

Sadly in today's society world wide, you will find people, and especially in a media like YA: who think it is humorous, and 'BIG', to give a rude, sarcastic, abusive, aggressive, evil, etc response in answer to a question posed!!

This is not always a bad thing: if the initial question was as the above to start off with, and the answer given is a just reprisal for what has already been said: or can visibly be read as meant to be humerus, and give other readers a smile>>> lets face it: we all need that sometimes!!

But when people like yourself are looking for 'Genuine' answers to serious questions they need help with: and for whatever reasons have chosen this media to look for them... especially on subjects like suicide or tragedy etc... then the moronic answers leave a lot to be desired!!

All you can do if you are going to use a site such as this to gain information: is read through what has been posted...ignor/pitty/pray for the morons: laugh at the funnies: and thank those lovely people who do, genuinely care and want to give you any help they can... of which there are many!!

God Bless...

If the ones abusing the people on here that genuinely want help or answers think they are funny then they are the only ones who do, they have such a sad existence with no one to talk to so they take it out on other people, they were probably bullies at school, if they had a life they wouldn't know what to do with it, saddo's.

I don't think I'm abusive, but I am a bit mean sometimes with my answers, I guess. I always answer the same way I'm asked. I never make fun of people who ask real questions, unless it is necessary to do so. See? I didn't make fun of you, even though this is kind of a dumb question.

I agree with you that unfortunately some people on here don't respect the rules of fair play and hopefully they'll get suspended and then us decent people won't have to tolerate their abusive nasty ways.

I only talk down to people that post intentionally bad answers and /or stupid questions.
I have seen a few people that have post after post of nothing but neglectful answers and it just angers me.
If some one asks a good question then they deserve a good answer.
some low self esteem people just need to spew senseless crap because that is how they live their smart *** lives.
They think they are funny but they are not.

i had abuse off of some silly ***** who said she hoped my baby died a painful death, how nasty is that,i can't tell you how angry i was,if she had been standing in front of me i would have beat the **** out of her.
some people are just not satisfied with their own lives so pick on others as a way of letting off steam, not nice but you have to rise above it and ignore them.
i got abusive back to her then realised how silly i was being,i believe what goes around comes around, she'll get hers oneday.

they probably don't realise they are being abusive or nasty humour changes from country to country in the UK we are famous for our dry sense of humour which can be biting at times but if you are very sensitive then you will take offence very easily...i'm sure most of it isn't meant to talk down or humiliate people at all...
