well Isaiah said in chapters 52vs13-53vs12-aprox 700bce (before Jesus/Yeshua in Hebrew=God is salvation- it means) "He shall be made very high, but first will be hurt (marred) more than any man "(like the movie the Passion of Christ shows) Isaiah chapter 53 goes on to say "He shall be the anointed one" (The Messiah) "and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed-he shall grow up humble and be despised and rejected but aquainted with our griefs, and all we like sheep have gone astray but the Lord will light on him the iniquity of us all. he will die with the wicked and make his grave with the rich (they bought an expensive tomb for him) and he will make atonement for our soul"
well when i believed this i saw my 'Jewish' people arnt for the most part Jews because they reject our Jewish prophet Isaiah and our Messiah Yeshua-Jesus-so i did what the Messiah said to do for all people-
Revelation 3 vs 19&20 "Behold i stand at yur heart door and knock...i prayed and let him in-ohhh yesss

Jesus did come and will be coming back soon. He died on the cross to save us from our sins. Their own people hated most of the prophets for most of their lives and it is even said that a prophet is without honor in his own country. Many of the Jews are starting to believe that Jesus was the savior and if you are true in what you are saying then read the New Testament and learn all you can. Pray to heavenly father for the truth to come into your heart believing that you will get an answer. Isaiah is considered to be the greatest prophet in the Old Testament.

David, if you truly are Jewish, you need to study the scriptures that are available to you at your local synagogue.

Let me give you some of the basics: First of all, stop taking verses out of context and making them mean something totally different than the author intended; then remember that in Judasim, there is no such thing as a trinity (and that word doesn't show up till you get to the Christian New Testament; also, you will NOT find anywhere in the 1st seven chapters of Leviticus (the chapters on the sacrificial laws) where a human is acceptable for a sacrifice to G-d - but it does tell you how a sacrifice is to be done, and NOWHERE will you find a crucifixion to be acceptable to G-d; also, remember who G-d made the covenant with, why, and how long it's to last.

One more challenge: find anywhere in the Christian bible where JC told anyone to start a religion totally different from that he was born into, raised as, lived as and died as a Jew. For extra points, find where he said to name it by his Greek title, then change the day of worship among other things. Then grab a history book and study on Horus, the Egyptian Pharoah/god that died and was resurrected; and the story of Zeus and Hercules; the god who mated with a human woman and produced a man-god that was the champion of their day. (the stories of Horus, Zeus and Hercules pre-date Christianity)

David, personally I'd hate to see you leave so rich a heritage as Judaism, especially since you don't seem to know much about it. The Christians are tugging for you to believe and to show you as a victory. So whatever you do, PLEASE sit down and study your own scriptures and talk with a solely Jewish Rabbi (not a Messianic one), ask questions and again, STUDY the Tanakh.

One more suggestion, read the site below, it may help you in your decision.

The Jewish people are coming more to Yeshua now more then ever before in history. They are recognizing that He fulfilled all the prophecy's of the Old Testament concerning the Messiah and there are many.
born of a virgin
betrayed by one of his followers for the price of a slave, 30 pieces of silver. And this silver would then be thrown "to the potter" and it was to buy a field.
died on a cross and uttered the words of Psalm 22
would be called the Son of God
born in Bethlehem
Would be a light to the Gentiles
Would be rejected by His own
Would come riding into Jerusalem on a donkey
There are many, many more that are fulfilled in Yeshua. All the early Christians were Jewish and I am pleased that God has called you to His Son

Yes, you should believe that Jesus is THE Messiah. The one and only. If you would refer to all of the books of prophesy, all of the prophesies about the Messiah are fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Even those books which do not contain prophesy specifically follow a certain symbolic pattern in which there is a "Kinsman Redeemer." Each, is entirely non-fiction, however, all contain an allegorical fabric in which the protagonist "redeems" either his/her family, tribe, or people as you would have it. Each of these people, while entirely fallible, demonstrate different noble characteristics of Jesus.

Any research reference in regard to Jesus, can be found in the Gospels. I'm not certain which sect of Judaism you follow, however, if your sole means of religious reference is the Pentateuch, your research may be a bit more challenging. If your sect incorporates the books of prophesy, I'd say, "Happy hunting!" There are thousands of cross references.

As a Christian, I would say that you, as a Jew have an enviable position. You were taught the first part of our religion without having known it! Your background knowledge of the customs, feasts and what we call Old Testament doctrine simply confirms and gives a deeper meaning to what Christians are taught.

Best wishes in your endeavors!

In the time of Jesus, the people of Israel, along with the High Priests (Annas and Chaiaphas) looked to the Messiah as the one who would overthrow Roman rule. One of His parables actually answers this question best--the one about the landowner who first sent his servants into the field, and the hired hands beat and shamed them utterly. Then, upon seeing this, he sent his son--whom they killed. Also--I believe there were some 5000 sightings of Jesus after his crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. The testimony of 2 or 3 was all that was needed back then, and they had that many.

I think that you as a jew habve just made a startling discovery on your walk with god. You have found out why us christians believe what we do, and i would encourage you to embrase it. I can promise you that if you are to accept him as your savior, and make it known that you are afollower of Christ, your life will become a happy one. But more importantly, your life will become a fullfilling one. If you are a hard core Jew, then you probably believe that if you sin, you are going to hell. Well, i dont have to worry about that , because i know that if i sin, Jesus is there to grant me the orgiveness tha tI need. I hope that you may find God when your heart is ready, and if you think you are, feel free to email me, or go visit with a pastor at any christian church in you area.

Peace and God bless.

No. And plus, there are supposed to be many messiahs.

Jesus was just one of them. If the Jews listened to him, Isreal would have a reformed society that wasn't so legalistic.

Of course, I probably wouldn't exist, or if I did, I would have had to have my foreskin snipped off when I was a kid.

Omar, you're a bigot.
