As others have pointed out, atheism is about not believing in a god.

But you're looking for something deeper, aren't you?

To me, atheism means I grew up. I take responsibility for my own actions (I don't put "my life in god's hands" or claim "the devil made me do it"). I accept the fact that life is random, and only through my actions does it have any kind of order. I let logic dictate my decisions, and do not blindly accept archaic rules "carved in plates of stone, by the flaming finger of an angry god". It means that everything I accomplish is done of my own merit, and when I fail, ultimately the blame is my own. It means that I can give into any/all of the aspects of human nature, and not feel guilt about enjoying them, providing I don't hurt anyone in the process.

It's all about living the life I was born into...good, bad, and otherwise.

I know where you're going with this...I've heard this before. You're trying to be clever and to make a point probably.

Just to let know. I'm not an Atheist.

Atheism, in its broadest sense, is the absence of theism (the belief in the existence of deities, and most commonly of God). This encompasses both people who assert that there are no gods and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions of atheism, however, typically label as atheists only those people who affirmatively assert the nonexistence of gods, classifying other nonbelievers as agnostics or simply non-theists.

Although many of those who identify themselves as atheists share common skeptical concerns regarding evidence for spiritual or supernatural claims, citing a lack of evidence of deities' existence, conscious atheism is inspired by a variety of rationales, ranging from the personal to the philosophical to the social to the historical. Additionally, while there is a tendency among self-described atheists toward secular philosophies such as humanism, naturalism and materialism, there is no single ideology that all atheists adhere to, nor does atheism have any institutionalized rituals or behaviors.

Although atheism is often equated with irreligiosity in Western culture, not all atheists are necessarily irreligious or nonspiritual. Some formal religious beliefs, such as several forms of Buddhism, have been described as atheistic due to their lack of any participating deities, these beliefs are not generally identified as such by adherents. Atheism is also sometimes erroneously equated with antitheism (opposition to theism) or antireligion (opposition to religion), despite many atheists not holding such views.

To me, atheism means having control of your own life. As an athiest, I still have morals and ethics. I give to the poor, help the needy. I believe I don't need need any book to tell me how to live my life and there are no absolute rights or wrongs. These are concepts that are just made up by humans when they entered civil society (Rousseau). Atheists believe in no heaven and hell, and anything you do now you are accountable for in this life. We don't do things that we think will help us live for eternity in the afterlife. I love being an atheist because I know I am living my life for the moment. I don't give a rats **** if people tell me I'm going to hell.

Atheism is a belief that there is no god. An athiest believes that evolution is the basis of the existence of mankind and that anything expecting to refute than fact must provide tangible proof, not simplistic faith.

Faith requires that one believe they are not responsible for their own actions. An athiest believes that she, or he, is the sole actor behind destiny and takes responsibility for success and failure.

That there is no god. People will say we stand for nothing if we dont believe in god, but it's crap, atheists believe in lots of other things, we just have a different view of the afterlife and how the universe was created.

"no god"

I could give you the exact etimology, but can't remember it off the top of my head and I don't care to go on Wikipdia at the moment.
I do know that in respect to ther words with "theism" it is evident that "theism" refers to devinity. Then you just have to look at the prefix: a~ means negative, poly~ means many, mono~ means one, auto~ means self. The list goes on. You could come up with as many meanings for theistic words as you can think of prefixes.

A lack of belief in a god. That's what it is, simple. Passive atheism means you don't believe in god because there's a lack of scientifically provable evidence to state there is. Non-passive atheism says you don't believe in god because you can prove god doesn't exist.

I'm a passive atheist.

atheism is the lack of faith in the religions created by man. it could also mean the person just doesn't care to know and/or understand any particular religion.
