i completely agree with smartassawhip.......you CAN have small cuts or other open sores without knowing it. now if he had blood on his lips and you kissed him, and it got in your mouth.....there is a good possibility. like smart said.....in a yr take a test to find out if you have contracted it......and in the meantime....think about what has happened and hopefully it has scared the s*** out of ya enough to make you think b4 you act and take better precautions.

HIV is spread by, among other things, contact of blood or body fluids with mucus membrane and skin that is not intact. Intact means no cuts or scrapes or damage of any kind. The inside of your mouth is not skin, it is mucus membrane.
I would not even allow someone's blood or body fluids to contact my skin because it can have micro cuts that you can't see or feel.
That's why when I worked as a R.N. in a hospital, I and all other staff who worked with patients, were required by law to wear rubber gloves when it was possible that we "might" come into contact with blood or body fluids.
Now of course, if the person you kissed wasn't HIV positive, no danger. The other thing, just for information, is that HIV tests at the time of contact mean nothing except to tell if you were already infected before the contact. It may take the body up to a year to produce enough antibodies against HIV to show up on a blood test.
I can not believe how ignorant some of the people are who answered before me.

The only known way for the HIV virus to be transmitted from one person to another is when it is spread from the inside of an infected person's body to the inside of another person's body. This can happen when infected fluids - such as semen (also known as "***," the fluid released from the penis when a male ejaculates), vaginal fluids, or blood - are passed from one person to another. A person can become infected even if only tiny amounts of these fluids are spread.

The chances are there but extremely slim. The amount of blood that entered your body via your mouth, coupled with saliva is small. Still, get a test to be sure.

anytime you come in contact with bodily fluids (mainly blood) it is possible for you to be exposed to HIV.... this does not mean you will contract HIV because four things need to happen.... (a) presence of HIV in the individual, (b) transmission mode, (c) you need to have an open wound or way for it to get in tissues/fluids, (d) your immune system must not be able to fight or contain it..... Lots of people come in contact with it sexually everyday, but never contract it.... I doubt you will be diagnosed with HIV, its very unlikely --- but possible......

It's POSSIBLE, if perhaps you had an open would in your mouth that you were unaware of.
If your unsure, get tested- it'll be the only way to know for sure.
