widely seeked out painters of today.Not the classical like van gogh,monet,picasso......who will be the next ?

lucian freud is one of the most famous of our "alive" artists and I'm pretty sure his paintings sell for more than any other artist right now. He is Sigmund Freuds grandson.

while I favor Roy Lichtenstein, the most highly paid living artist, selling a single painting for 5 mil sadly he died not long ago, so I would have to say there are not many too well known left. I could mention, Christine Griffin, Suk kim, and others but they are not well known as the artist of the days gone. I myself hope to be added to that list one day. But I believe that day is far off, and as past goes, I too probably have to die to be there.
