Hey, someone from work always asks how I am, but he only speaks Spanish. I said "eh mas o menos" which I know means more or less cause that's how I felt and didn't want to say "bien." when I really wasn't "bien." hehe. Is that okay or does that sound stupid?? Cause he just smiled like it was funny so I couldn't tell if it was dumb or whatever but okay just wondering..thanks for any help y'all rock! :) GOD BLESS! :D

You're fine; it does literally mean "more or less," but colloquially, it's completely fine as the Spanish equivalent of, "I'm ok," or, "enh [shrug]," in English.

Well I am from Spain and know Spanish dont say "asi asi" it is not incorrect but it is not common and no one uses it, it doesnt sound well. Mas o menos is the exacxt word everybody uses it, it is correct it means like more or less or not to well. So keep using it.

No not really mas o menos is really jst for maths! i am a native speaker, (I live in Australia thought) But bien means more than good, it means okay, alright, or you could have said
asi asi it mean so -so

so next timeur not feeling well and someone says Como estas? u just say "asi asi!" (well maybe not happily, well you get the idea)

If you were worried about it, then you should have just said bien...Next time say "asi asi" which means ok or would have really meant what you thought you were saying.

It's Ok, but it would mean that you would like to speak about your problem, too.

When I don't have the time or when I don't want to speak about my problems, I just say "bien".

Yes it is okay. It doesn't sound stupid. That is how I answer when I talk to my friends or family members.

Well, he asked "how are you"? and you replied "more or less" lol, so it's not really a true, grammatically correct answer. The proper answer should have been "asi asi" which means "so so"
