Dear Colby, I also read your profile and see that you lost your mom i also lost my daughter in 2005 and It is normal for you to be thinking alot about death and what happens because that is what I do too.We wonder what has happened to our loved one and where they have gone.We miss them terribly and we can't make any sense out of why this has happened to them and us.The bible says that "the dead" know nothing and that the dead "sleep" Our loved ones have done what we all must do at one time or another...to die. No one can say for sure what happens. All that I can believe is what the bible says.I feel my daughter is no longer in pain and she is resting in a blissful deep sleep. We all fear the unknown that is normal human nature.Try to think of all the good times you had with your mom and know that the pain will ease over time.I am sure she would want you to go on with your life and be the best man you can be.I am sorry you are having to go through this but know you aren't alone.Good Luck to you and your family.

Been there - Done that! I could tell you that you do pull out of your physical body. What I have experienced is.... Well let's just say we are all spiritual beings. A Great book to read on the subject would be Saved by the Light and Beyond the light based on a true story. I can also tell you that I have picked up a sixth sense out of my experience. We all have the ability, but you have to be open to it....

Thats why religion was created by early man... so they could convince themselves and others that there is a God and heaven and Hell that we return to after we die...
So if you belong to a religion, then i guess you believe in what that particular religion says...
If you dont believe in God and religion... then.. You will never know what actually happens...

Not much... it's quite boring, really.

You can be burned and become a stupid ornament in a relative's house, or be sprinkled somewhere.
You can just decompose wherever you happened to die.
You can decompose in a coffin.
You can have all your organs extracted and be mummified. (My fave)
You can be thrown into the ocean and then decompose.

Lots of options, but not much else to do after that.

You go before God and face judgement and repent for your sins. If you have faith in God, you will be let into the kingdom of heaven.

You are either cremated or burried. If you are burried than your bady is decomposed by animals underground.

thats all according to what your religious beliefs are, because its all a matter of belief, we have no proof of anything from beyond that anyone can say is irrefutable.
