I would ask if you were having anxiety about going to camp but the fact that you have fevers has me concerned. Are you of Meditteraean descent or dark skinned? If you are then I'm speculating it could be sickle cell. If you are caucasian then it wouldn't be that but I wouldn't ignore it either...keep going back until you get some answers. I'm curious as to what needle he gave you that was suppose to help you in 24 hours.
Do you get short of breath when the pain happens, does your heart race, try counting it when it happens. Don't ignore this!
What do your parents have to say about it...are they not concerned? I hope this resolves...take care of yourself.

Your doctor stinks. It could be a panic attack. That wouldn't mean it's "in your head", just that your brain chemistry and not your chest is causing it. Go get a second opinion and and psych evaluation (again you are not weak, making it up or crazy - but they would definitely recognize a panic attack.) The doctors at church probably want to help but if they give you medical advice they could get in a lot of trouble even if they are right. I hope you find your answer. Remember you would know if you were making it up, so don't let anybody tell you that you are wrong about what your body feels. God Bless and stay healthy!

What you are describing pretty much sounds like anxiety. Anxiety disorders oftem present themselves in forms of physical pain. You may not think you have anxiety because you don't realize you are anxious. Instead of crying and panicking because of anxiety, you get pains. The anxiety is just manipulating itself into something different then emotional pain or stress. Its actually pretty common. Could it be that you are nervous for camp? Even though this pretty much sounds like anxiety,i would still see the doctor again. Fevers are uncommon usually with an anxiety disorder but its always possible. For now, just try to take your mind off anything stressful. Maybe you could lie down and watch a movie or take a bath. Try not to get yourself worked up and see if that helps.

You need a second opinion.
See a different doctor, just because one can't find anything doesn't mean nothing is wrong.
Just because they graduated medical school doesn't make them right. It also doesn't mean they know everything.
It is better to be safe than sorry. Especially with chest pain.

Chest pains could be part of growing pains. Have you had a growth spurt lately? Are your doctors REAL qualified doctors, or are they religious doctors (the sort that 'heal' with prayer). You have to be checked by LICENSED doctors if not.

sounds like simple panic attacks, you are afraid of something, camp? people? going out? im not sure what a needle will do to help you, at your age anything serious would be quite unusual, but not unheard of. you need a better doctor i think.
