I live in Alaska and it's perfect 60- 69 lots of soft wind and plenty of rain when need and clouds. The rest of the world looks like it's on fire! sorry and if your having winter well we get it for 7 months so i can relate lol

Worst summer of my life. Had to leave my husband in Sweden as soon as college let out to travel "home" to Texas to take care of my handicapped father and my mother, who is dying of metastatic melanoma (skin cancer that spread to the brain and lungs). I had to work hand and foot since day one of being here, doing things a child should never have to do for a parent. Changing my mother's diapers, giving her a bath, etc....
The worst came 3 weeks ago. My mom is in "home hospice" care and wanted to die at home...no more hospital visits. Then she had a grand mal seizure at midnight and I tried my best to not call an ambulance...but the seizure went on over an hour and she started chewing her tongue and spit blood everywhere. You know, it is the strangest feeling to be sitting there, holding your mother in your arms, watching something so horrible, and secretly sit and beg God to hurry up and let her die. I couldn't stomach it, and was too worried it was painful to her, so I called 911 and she was then hospitalized where she stabled off and was in a coma for a week.
Then she awoke from the coma and began talking. But now she doesn't know anything, she is just a shell of who she was...and half the time she talks jibberish about things that do not exist and many days she doesn't even recognize me. :( Now I also have to hand feed her, as she can not do it herself...
I am ready for this summer to be over. It has been not only physically, but mentally and emotionally draining.

No everyone at work is on vacation and I'm getting shitty shifts. My apartment is like a sauna. My best friend moved away. I have hardly any money for a mini vacation and there's nothing good on tv.

Hell no, it is WAY to hot. I wish i was back in Antarctica, i spent 2 years down there, and i loved it. As you may have guessed, i hate hot weather.
