I know hair dye is permanent. I have been dying my hair for years. I would go to the salon and have it stripped, I am just affraid of what might happen. I have thin blonde hair and its very long. I don't want it destroyed. I was thinking maybe someone knows of an easier way or maybe they know if it is safe or not for me to go have done.

One way to lighten it is to make a baking soda paste and wash your hair with this. It HAS to be done within a few hours of dying it though. It does not get rid of a color compleatly but it can lighten it up some. The baking soda open up the hair folicles and allows some of the color to wash out. Good luck!

Hair dye is permanent. Wait a couple of weeks, and then put a lighter color of dye on top of it to lighten it.

Buy hair dye remover. But be careful, all that stress to your hair can bring it out.

There probably is, however it sounds like you need a salon treatment for this. I would strongly suggest a professional as this could end in disaster at home.
