My hair is curly and layering it is the only thing that keeps it under control. Without the layers it would be so thick and too big. Longer layers are the way to go. Layering actually makes the curls more defined by taking the weight off of some of the curls and making your hair look more curly throughout.

Probably not. Layers are usually done for women with thin, straight, or limp hair to give the illusion of body and volume.

Layering curls is usually a no-no. Trust me, I have naturally curly hair and a hairdresser layered me in February (and made me a blonde to boot...shudder!) My hair is still recovering, and I'm still not over looking like a french poodle that was tossed in the tumble dryer.

Last time I ever tell a hairdresser "Go ahead and do whatever you think would look nice on me, I trust you!". Those words will never be muttered out of my mouth again! :/

Yes, Get a nice cut for your hair type from someone who has a good rep for cutting and styling curly hair. They have techniques which will keep you from getting a poof ball.

After wash your hair and condition it. Use a Curling Gel on your hair when it's wet. It is often better to not brush your hair when it's dry. Just scrunch with hair products and freshen with water.

I spent about 35 years fighting my hair and finally decided that every hairstyle is in, People pay big bucks for perms, My hair is curly and Now I love having it.

I have a slight curl to my hair and it is thin so when I got it layered I got very long layers and it looked good but I was told by the beautician that if my hair was shorter or had a tighter curl I would look kinda like a poodle is in my family tree so it depends on your hair length and type

No. I think pple with curly hair should try to rebond it to make it straight b4 layering it. The japs recommend layered hair for straight hair, not curly.

Yes! Most stylists will say yes because it brings out the most curl in your hair. If you style correctly you won't turn into a poof ball. I always have my hair layered and I have wavy hair.

I think you should ask your hair dresser what she thinks would be the best look for your hair since its curly. Good luck!

definitely...layered hair can work well with anyone's style if done correctly. layering will give you more body and will help to keep your curls from looking flat and lifeless.
