The Asia Hotel Bangkok
It is centrally located for easy access to all the business, shopping and popular attractions of Thailand's exciting capital city. The hotel is 30 kilometers from Don Muang International Airport.
The Asia Bangkok is located closely to the BTS Station "Ratchathewi Station" It takes only 3 minutes by walk from the hotel to the BTS Station, then you can comfortably ride to many famous tourist attractions such as Shopping Center, Parks, Hopital, Sites and Monuments.

b) Siam Paragon
c) Mahboonkrong Center
d) World Trade Shopping Centre
e) "IT Shopping Centre" (can't remember the actual name, by car 10 - 15mins)

Asia Hotel is located in Phayathai, linked to the Ratchathevi BTS Skytrain Station. It is 5 minutes walk to MBK Centre, Siam Paragon, Siam Square and Siam Discovery Centre.. Walking the other way brings you to Pratunam clothing wholesale centre.
From there it is a straight ride on the BTS to Chatuchak Weekend Market at Mo-chit. Also a short ride from MBK/Siam BTS Station to Sala Daeng in Silom where the Patpong Night Market is.
If you want to go to Suan Lum from there, you can take a cab or if you want the train option, you will need to go to the Silom interchange to get to the underground MRT station to head to Lumpini Station and a short walk to the night bazaar.
August is generally hot, but you can still get the occassional downpour. So have to see your luck when you are there.

Don't worry about Asia Hotel. It has a BTS station right at its door step.
It is not the rainy season. Just be prepared for lotsa sun.
